There are only two options:  IR-1, spousal visa, which is for immigrating to the USA to live permanently with you, and B-2 tourist visa, for temporary visits for which she was denied.  ESTA is gone forever because of the overstay which is a permanent stain on her record, and an indication of high immigrant intent.  As a US citizen, you are required to file federal income taxes in the US with the IRS regardless of where you live.

Risk 1. She can get stuck overseas due to slow processing times at embassy
Risk 2. What if she loses certificate? She'd have very hard, expensive time restoring it.

The law says she should travel on US passport, why break the law as the first thing after becoming a citizen?

Not surprised at all. I'm sure WH has its fingers in this too especially with election year.

Islamabad consulate, like many others, does not allow the petitioner to go in for the interview together with the beneficiary. The best you can do if you’re visiting is to give your passport to your husband to take with him to the interview and show the CO and say that my wife is currently visiting me.

Yes, easier in this case because the son already qualifies as sponsor, and is domiciled in the USA.  Is he 21 already?

Note that "what you want" is NOT a reason for expedite.  You get to chose between separation and kids finishing high school in the USA.  Expedites are for special circumstance, not for convenience.

This sounds like some that misrepresent their marital status in an attempt to get a B2.

Visa and Mastercard allow you to add Authorized Users without their social security numbers. American Express, on the other hand, requires a SSN number. So currently, they can have their own card (but tied to yours).

If the immigrant did not receive a SSN prior to filing AOS by requesting one at a social security office, you’ll have to wait until the immigrant receives one for them to apply for their own cards.

You can get married in Germany or even with the Utah online marriage. Timeline won't change - it's about 18 months to immigrant visa, depending on the backlog of people waiting for visa interviews in your consulate. You won't get a green card until after you've entered the US and activated your immigrant visa (and paid the green card issuance fee to USCIS).

Got to be honest, I'm struggling to see why your lawyer suggested either the O visa or EB1 for you. I'm sure your ability is extraordinary in chess, but it has to be at a national/international level (so winning a state championship wouldn't be enough), the acclaim has to be sustained and you have to show that you will 'substantially benefit' the US in the future. I really don't mean to belittle what you've done, I certainly wouldn't be able to do it, but I'm not sure how playing chess to a high level would benefit the US.

    What does your lawyer suggest?

From what you've said, if you've never worked in any other job, then I don't think you have any other option. You're not likely to find an employer prepared to sponsor you if you don't have any/much work experience or specialist skills (in work), so I think your only option is to leave asap and then work your way back to the US in the future.

    Best of luck to you.

Nope, you’re golden as you already have a green card. Gather all important documents now and put them somewhere safe or with a person you trust. You can file a divorce when out of the residence so there’s no screaming match why you did it. Have all communication go through a lawyer.

I marry people on Tourist visas all the time. I do at least 10 a year with no issues. Matter of fact, I am doing one tomorrow morning. As for waiting, no waiting if you come to Las Vegas,NV. I believe the fastest I married someone after an international entry into Las Vegas was about 1 hour, maybe 1.5 hours after they cleared customs( The ink wasn't even dry in their passport from the entry stamp when we got to the Marriage License Bureau... LOL!)

Start by filing an I-130.  Visa number availability for family visa categories cannot be expedited.  She will be F2B category.  Her priority date won't become current for several years.

How was the first interview ? Any potential flags ( type of questions, inconsistent answers…)?  It is out of norm for a 2nd interview to be required …but the long delay is SOP in cases where they referred case to fraud unit.
She is also justified in filing a WOM action

Lots of red flags. Large age difference. Unauthorized work. Why is it unauthorized? Is she on an actual student visa (F1) or did she do a change of status from tourist visa to attend college and can't leave country without having to go to Bogota and get a real F1 issued?

Oh and USCIS does take fraud marriages seriously so think twice before going down that path.
