Don't need the I130 or I130a when adjusting from a K1.  Also, do not need to do another I693, but the applicant for adjustment should include the DS3025 vaccination record when they submit the package.

You’re not screwed. You need to relax and stop fretting over this. Consular officers posted to Ghana typically get a brush up on our customs. What you describe is a knocking ceremony and everyone knows the knocking is not the wedding (traditional marriage). Indeed in our culture the knocking is exactly the equivalent of a western engagement. If it comes up at the interview, tell that consular to ask any ghanaian working with him/her behind the counter.
 
   
That is never recommended, prepaying wedding expenses when you do not control the process. These processes sometimes get delayed. Nevertheless what’s done is done, stay positive.

Nope.  If you file right now the ead will expire at 90 days from entry because as a k1 your authorized stay is but 90 days.  As an FYI, i765 are taking more like 5 to 7 months

In my experience this should end well.  The embassy gave my fiance a 221g and requested me to come to the embassy for more proof as well.  I made arrangements and flew to Jamaica 3 weeks later.  Our interview was at 7am on a Monday morning and we were in and out of the embassy by 8am.  I truly feel if the embassy wanted to deny your visa they would have given your passport back and denied you and not make your wife waste her time to fly out.  Once I reached the embassy I realized that they really just wanted to see me and make sure this is real.  It was obvious and his visa was quickly approved and he picked it up from the embassy 2 days later so he could fly home with me.  Good luck to you!

As long as it was done overseas within a year of you filing AOS your medical is still valid. You don't need another one. It was included in the envelope you gave to immigration at the airport. 

Have you done any research yourself?  Have you even looked at the embassy website?  It gives you a checklist of what you need to do

I didnt even read more. Do yourself a favor and cancel k1 visa and start cr1 process. 

Wish I had figured that out sooner. I made my appointment last week.

We sent out the I-485 packet along with the I-765 (employment authorization) and I-131 (travel permit) sometime last week. 
Today, my husband applied for his social security #, which was issued to him and will be mailed out. 
He told me they told him that because he will now have a SSN, then he will receive a letter stating his work permit application (assuming that’s the I-765)  will be denied...??... He said he didn’t really understand what they meant by that and he didn’t ask 😒 
Does this sound accurate or familiar to anyone? 
If so, does that mean he has to resend the I-765 only because he now has to include his SSN? And pay a whole other fee for it . 
Has anyone applied for their SSN AFTER sending the AOS packet? 

Yes, they will review past visa applications, including possibly any notes from the CO when he interviewed for it.
If he marked that he was married, then he will need to present documentation that the marriage was dissolved. If he wasn't actually married, providing that documentation is impossible. There would also very likely be a misrepresentation inadmissibility.
Never lie to anybody in immigration or on any immigration forms.

You do not need an I693. Your K1 medical is valid as explained above.
Please read this entire thread from the beginning. It has been explained numerous times by numerous people. 
A K1 with a scenario such as yourself with a completed medical, a completed vaccination record and who will submit the AOS application within 365 days of the medical exam date does not need an I693.

You should have gotten a personal copy of the DS3025 in addition to the sealed envelope and a copy of your Xray on CD from the Panel Physician. Only the sealed medical envelope should have been handed in at your interview. Your personal copy of the DS3025 and XRay CD were yours to keep.
 
If you did not you need to contact your Panel Physician and have them send you one.

The instructions for the form tell what must be filled out. The doctor is not correct.
Take time to read the i-693 instructions. 
 
If you had all shots noted on you DS-3025, send a photocopy with your AOS. See a civil surgeon only if you get to your interview and your interviewer reviews your file and insists on a civil surgeon. 
 
 
 

If the DS-3025 is complete already, then you can submit with that. Did you not complete all immunizations with the UK medical exam? If that is the case, then getting a CS to sign off on them can be a challenge..you need to shop around for who will sign off on the immunizations without doing a full medical.

If I didn't keep abreast of current events I may have taken the 2 hour drive for his scheduled appointment! Things may be shut down much longer since the president is not getting his way. We need to give him 5 7 billion for the wall Mexico was supposed to pay for. 🤦‍♀️

Only the US government can deport somebody.
Unless there is documented evidence of immigration fraud, she can't do anything.

Then it probably got misplaced. Not sure how an attny would help with a response. Sure they will take your $$ and file a response but you can do that yourself. Make sure its the certificate and not the marriage license and send it back with all the other things they listed and a brief letter stating you are using your married name on your AOS/765/131.
