Have you done any research yourself?  Have you even looked at the embassy website?  It gives you a checklist of what you need to do

YMMV

YES I DID BUT WASNT CLEAR WITH IT

Have you received the instruction packet from the consulate?

As per the website;

K visa applicants can schedule their appointments and pay the visa application processing fee on the CGI website.  K visa applicants should not schedule their appointment until after they have received an Instruction package from the Consulate.

YMMV

While you are waiting for the instruction packet. Read up on spousal visa.  Lagos is the toughest consulate in the system and does not approve many k1 visas

Just to clarify, you haven't applied for a visa and it certainly hasn't been approved yet (or else you wouldn't be preparing for an interview). A petition is a different beast than a visa application.

Good luck.

When was petition approved? Please know the difference between a petition and visa, however I knew what you meant...Depending on approval at USCIS, I would wait it out a couple of days..As one suggested read up on what's the next step while waiting on the packet..As of now all interviews are cancel and none are being scheduled for the Abuja and Lagos Embassy at this time because of the indefinite close due to Goverment shut down...

Prepping for interview is all here click the Portal button at top. Then go to Consular information.

Have you done anything yet?

1. Get case# from NVC

2. Pay $265 Visa fee at GTB Bank

3. Complete DS-160 on ceac.state.gov (need case# and IIN for that)

4. Create account on ustraveldocs.com

5. Schedule interview. they are in March now

6. Print Interview confirmation and go get medical done close to interview date (takes 2 weeks for results)

Have you done any of this? You need to go to the portal above like I stated read up same information s on ustraveldocs.com also.

There a big gap between the established K3 Visa process (reality) and  where the  OP apparently presumes he is  within that K3  process.

From the original post it sounds as if  USCIS' initial approval  has already been granted.  If that were the case, you would be far enough in the  process to not be asking your original question.  That's why the replies  here on VJ are  not productive / skeptical. I note OP also listed his visa Petition as K1 (Edit to K visa type)

Just to clarify----do you have a fiancee or a spouse (wife)?  Are you doing a K1 or a CR-1 visa?

Your profile says you are going through the K1 fiance process....but you mention "spouse" in your post as though you are already married?
