You do NOT become a public charge for accepting Medicaid. The proposed bill is NOT law. If it was to become law it would NOT be retro active. It does NOT include premium tax cradits. Oh Lord mass hysteria. It doesn't apply to ROC. Woman go have your baby in peace. I help pregnant immigrants get Medicaid every single day. I have NEVER heard of a sponsor being sued. 

My husband and I are so excited. In March our case was scheduled for an interviw for April 23 and yesterday we got an update stating his EAD card is being produced. We applied January 19 and they received our application January 24th. After the longest wait for the k1 process we are just so happy. Everyone who is experiencing this process just have hope and everything will fall into place. 

It took 6 days.
 
April 3 - Card is being produced
April 9 - Card picked up by USPS

How long did it take you to get this update after the update of your card is being produced?

It's so quick and simple. They are just going to take photo and fingerprints. Relax. This will be the easiest thing of the entire process.  We drove an hour and a half to our appointment and we were there 45 minutes total. 35 minutes in the waiting area.

No, it did not change in the new site. Only the EAD case.   Wishing your card arrives soon too. 
 

That's great Congrats!!! We are 115 days waiting so far. VJ estimates April 24th but I keep hoping for better. Did you get notice about AP?

The status for AP never changes to approved on the websites but you will get a hard copy notice of approval in the mail and of course, it Ll come as a combo card.

Got my EAD approved today. My PD Dec 13th. So doing the happy dance here!  Wishing everyone prompt answer!  

I placed an expedite request March 14th, by calling USCIS, on the 19th they looked at the expedite I believe because I got an email that day that the case was under review, and then completed according to my case history for my EAD. On the 23rd I got a notification that card was being produced. I never had to send in any evidence for Financial Loss to Company, which was my reason, so I'm not sure if they just didn't feel like they needed it because my case isn't that complicated (f-1, AOS via marriage, never been out of status, had EAD before) or if it ended up being normal processing for me. 

After ROC approved? 
 

Yes. If you filed EAD and AP at the same time they will come on a Combo card.
It is taking 4.5 to 6.5 months right now. June is doubtful.

I tried at our embassy.  They insisted on co sponsor 

K1 would be really difficult for you guys. Young Moroccan guy with a slightly older American woman who has kids from a previous relationship and only one visit? Likelihood of K1 success is almost zero. Even for CR1, your chances aren't that great right now due to the only one in-person visit you guys have had (especially considering it was your FIRST time meeting and it was only 2 weeks ago?!). Before you file for ANYTHING, you guys need to get more visits and in-person time under your belts.

We sent my husband’s AOS packet off on Jan 24th
case recieved: Jan 28th
Biometrics: Feb 19th
Case is ready to schedule interview: Feb 27th
No interview has been scheduled yet
My state is Rhode Island and I am wondering if someone has already went though this process here. 

I'm having trouble waiting for my EAD which will take 5.5 months for it to be approved I'm predicting. I cant imagine having to sit at home without being able to leave the house for 2 years which is how long my GC is predicted to take at my Local Field Office. That's inhumane.

Not filling up EAD and AP along with AOS is just... lazy and reckless imo. ANY emergency happens and your spouse cannot leave US. She doesn't want to get a driving license either? You want her to be stuck at home doing nothing for a year?

If you filed for the K1 there is no need to notify USCIS. Howe er what you need to do is find another job ASAP. Even before AOS you will have to show that you meet the income re5for your fiance to be granted the visa to travel here. You will have to fill out an affidavit of support  and you fiance will have to bring that with your supporting documents to the embassy for the visa interview.  Your other options. Would be to find a joint sponsor who meets the income requirements.

Not until he gets the green card, then he should apply to remove the wording on the SSN card.
