Ywjammin30 reacted to Going through in Ideas to make this train wreck less painful?
I understand wanting privacy----but just incase you're not aware (not being snarky, but serious here)....members can view all of your content/past threads and posts by you , and normally do to gleam further information when giving advice. I found out her country of origin in less than a minute.

Ywjammin30 reacted to Going through in Ideas to make this train wreck less painful?
Well...she's got 90 days to marry you, or else legally she needs to return to her home country.
Whatever you do, do NOT find yourself pressured into marrying her and "working things out" later or something like that, if that's her plan---will just make everything more complicated for you in the end with divorce/financials/etc.
I understand the thought behind paying for the plane ticket/short hotel stay----but 2 months wages?? To me, that's just opening the door for her to potentially milk you out of more money on an ongoing basis because you feel guilty over what's happened.
There's also the issue of how will you make sure she gets on the plane?

Ywjammin30 reacted to Apple Bee in How a Petition Is Processed
I was interested in how exactly a petition is adjudicated and what kind of happens "behind the scenes" and I came across this field manual for adjudicators. It's pretty interesting if you would like to have a look at it.
Adjudicator's field manual (public version)

Ywjammin30 reacted to MsKayC in Case Complete to Interview January 2019
My husband's interview is in exactly 24 hours 10 mins from now 😊😊 all documents are ready. I thought I would have been a nervous wreck but I have a sense of calm over me these last couple of days. We've done all we can, now it's time to get this over with and start our lives together with our daughter.

A personal note: I read every post in these VAWA threads. I rejoice at the announcements of approvals, and I hope and pray that everyone here will achieve a happy resolution in the speediest possible time.

Ywjammin30 reacted to MsKayC in TIME TIME!!
My case was closed on oct 11th, interview was scheduled on nov 13th. But it all depends in the availability of your embassy
-
Ywjammin30 reacted to Greenbaum in status changed to non immigrant after 221g
When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.
Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

Ywjammin30 reacted to Khallaf in Immigrant visa undergoing Administrative Processing
you should read his original thread the stories he has told are so far backwards, I am not sure he even knows what is the truth and what is a lie.
first he was never married but wanted to benefit from the DV lottery winner so they claimed they were married, but somewhere in that time line, she came back to him, and they went to have some sort of civil wedding but then never registered it.
then to him they were never married because they never lived together, so he claimed she was the gf but on the ds 230 for dv lotter claimed women 1 was only gf never wife, there is another lie, or maybe truth even I am not sure at this point.
Further more they prob lied on the first petition saying he was never married, another misrepresentation in my book, there are so many holes in this petition it looks like Swiss cheese.

Ywjammin30 reacted to aaron2020 in Immigrant visa undergoing Administrative Processing
God would be more helpful if you hadn't lied and made material misrepresentations. God help those who help themselves. God does not help fools who lie and decieve.

Ywjammin30 reacted to JFH in CR-1/IR-1 stamp at Point Of Entry
*~*~*moved from “K-1 fiancé visa process and procedures” to “general discussion”*~*~*
He won’t correct the stamp, no one will. The stamp just endorses the visa to show you are now a permanent resident. The wording is irrelevant at this stage as the only people who need to see the stamp (employers, banks, DMV, etc) probably don’t even know the difference between CR-1 and IR-1 anyway. All they are concerned with is that you are an LPR.
The card are should be a 10-year card. Wait and see what comes in the mail and get that corrected if necessary.
-
Ywjammin30 reacted to Khallaf in CR-1/IR-1 stamp at Point Of Entry
it will be okay, when the papers get to process the green card, check it to see that you get a 10 year green card.
If you don't there is a form to fill out for the correction, provide the I-94 stamp and proof you entered after your 2 year anniversary.
you will fill out an I-90
there is no cost for this since it is the error when they prepared the green card.

Ywjammin30 reacted to Cyberfx1024 in K1 visa had a previous abortion 7 years ago
The last I heard from someone a couple years ago on here is that she did have to undergo a pysch eval to make sure nothing is wrong mentally. But overall it went good for that person and she is here in the USA na.

This is a non-issue......it won't have any effect at all.....

Ywjammin30 reacted to Going through in Administrative processing after interview
Your lawyer will receive the same answer you got from the embassy---that it's under processing and to wait.
-
Ywjammin30 reacted to Crazy Cat in Administrative processing after interview
If it will make you feel better, then contact your lawyer........but the lawyer will not achieve anything. Administrative Processing can not be expedited. There is no way to estimate the time it will take. It could be months or even years, unfortunately........

Ywjammin30 reacted to geowrian in Administrative processing after interview
You're free to reach out to your attorney.
You're free to reach out to a congressman.
Neither can make it go any faster or give you a hard timeline.
-
Ywjammin30 reacted to Unshakable Faith in Administrative processing after interview
The petitioner can always contact their congressman to look into the case.
