I filed 04/08 and got my NOA 04/23. It's really upsetting others are having so many issues with this, I imagine how stressful that is.

My spouse has paid for most of my immigration costs. I pitched in by selling my car during the AOS. In our personal case, there was never an expectation for me to be the one covering the fees and I have been clear with him about costs since the beginning. He knows how much everything costs and when it must be paid and we prepare/adjust accordingly.

Okay, so had my interview last week:

We got there at 8:51, went in at 9:03 and got in the waiting room at 9:07. Waited about 10 minutes (Property Brothers was on TV so we watched that), then a young man (mid twenties) called our number,  told us which room to go in to and followed behind us. Once in the room, he swore us in (I raised my left hand and didn't even realize til way after). He took my picture, and left and right index fingerprints. He explained every step as we went and then explained how the questions would be structured. He was really nice!

He first started by asking our names and dates of birth off of my I-485 application. Then he asked me yes/no questions like "Have you ever committed murder? Are you a member of any group?" Then questions about our relationship followed. He asked how we met, when we met, what our first date was like, how long we dated/courted for, when we joined the dating website we met on, who initiated what, when we got married (he was really surprised we had only been together 3 months but I think us not even reacting to that helped us. We didn't try to excuse our short dating time). No weird toothbrush color questions! One weird question I got was if I was liking North Carolina, I just didn't understand the point of that question.

Took 20 minutes and we were not given a decision or any papers, I did sign something saying all my I-485 info was correct. 5 days later got a letter saying I was approved! Online status has not been updated.

I completely understand the fear of the process going wrong. But like it's been said many times, if you do things right, you have nothing to worry about. Follow the law. That's all you're being asked to do.

Okay lets not resort to name calling. I don't agree with the opinions of some of the posters here but lets keep it civil

Agree. My husband qualified but only in 2017 was he able to have a job where he was not discriminated because of his race and finally given a decent wage.

Ay. No you don’t. That doesn’t not apply to foreigners. You do not need SSN in ANY state to get married.

We had no questions about our wedding besides the date. It's not their place to judge how you decide to marry as long as you're married. I personally think our courthouse wedding was more romantic than a big show off party woulda been.
