k1visaapproved got a reaction from STO Overland in filling for n/400 naturalization
    Hey,
Thank you so, so much for your help. I initially thought applying for IRS transcripts are going to be hard and very time-consuming, but I went to their website and got my transcripts in a few minutes time. That was mind0boggling. They have definitely changed everything over the years and made it more easier for the public. Now, this makes my job easy, like you said (and the checklist says) I don't have to send in anything else if I have the transcripts. Thank god!

Thank you so much again for your help!!! Hope you have a wonderful day ahead

As per the documents checklist, specifically

    4. Documents referring to you and your spouse: a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; or b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; or c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.

If your tax transcripts lists both you and your spouse over these 3 years then there is no need to supply anything else. If you filed separately such that neither of you are on a tax return together, then I would supply a bank statement from the beginning of year 1, then another for the beginning of year 2 then another for beginning of year 3 and the very latest statement. Sign them if you like but if the documents checklist / application doesn't say to do then why bother?

The wait times are what they are.  Join the queue.  Just about everyone here has had to wait to be with their fiance/spouse.

Did you really do no investigation whatsoever into US immigration when you married an American?

I have done the K1 process and the adjustment of status process all on my own - I intend on filing my i-751 myself as well, with no attorney. The above comments are good advice - the forums here on visa journey are really great at answering questions you may have, and gives you a community of people who are going through the exact same thing.

    All the best!

@brunt11 I'm the immigrant and did all the paperwork myself with information from official USCIS website and VJ. It's not difficult if your case is straightforward with no red flags.

I-751/ROC is simply put a continuation of your I-485/AOS when it comes to evidence submission. Make sure to send in stuff from the time you're married till now. Do not submit only stuff from a few months preceding your filing date. USCIS wants to see proof of an ongoing marriage.

Did you have any problems during your immigration paperwork submission or interviews in the past? Any potential red flags?

This is a DIY site.  Most are inclined to do it themselves all the way to citizenship.

Congratulations on the baby and approval! Which office did you take the interview? Have you taken the biometrics already? We are yet to receive biometrics (MSC Jun2020 filer) as the local office is Ny/Nj is my guess.

Lots of people bring their kids to interviews. We were fortunate that relatives were able to watch our 6-month-old during our AOS interview. I will say, having a kid made our interview a breeze, since we only talked about kids for 5 minutes (the IO's wife was about to have their second kid), ran through the I485 for a couple minutes, and that was it. We were out in <10 minutes.

I did hear of one scenario where the baby was being fussy so the IO interviewed each person separately while the other watched the baby outside.

My husband and I brought our toddler to our interview for AoS.  Other families had their kids with them, too.  We had a stroller and a diaper backpack.  Our interview was in Chicago.  EDIT: We didn't call ahead to ask for any accommodations.  We all went through the metal detectors though I think the stroller had to go through the xray?  I can't remember.

Good luck at your interview!   And, congrats on the baby!  💖

On my interview day, I saw a couple with their baby in a stroller were allowed by the IO to enter the interview room together.

You don’t have to do anything else, just wait for your interview to be scheduled.

Your extension letter might expire before your case is approved. In that case, and if you need proof of status (to travel, for work etc.), you can call USCIS to schedule an infopass appointment so that they can stamp your passport.

No idea how long it will take for your interview to be scheduled, it depends on your local office and is not really predictable anymore with Covid. The Nebraska Service center has no impact on your case now that it’s at the National Benefits Center (which is just a hub to prepare cases for interviews).

Well, then why on earth are you freaking out? 😄 You’re very close, did not get an RFE! You did well so far! 👍🏻

Interview dates can take a long time to get. It does not mean that there are issues with your case, just that the Embassy is busy!
When did you receive your Documentarily Qualified e-mail?
Also check out the “Case Complete to Interview August” part of the VJ forum. You will find other people that are in the same boat and also nervously waiting for an interview date.

Justifying visa fraud.  Sickening.  I hope Trump does away with adjusting from temporary visas.
