  1. I have seen cases where the person wasn't aware of a revocation until they tried to board a flight to the US. You just never know.
  2. 1. It could cause a delay downstream when he corrects the error. 2. You probably marked a box differently on the forms.
  3. Yep. I would avoid letting the visa expire at all costs.
  4. I think the likely scenario is that they just delay issuing the visa a short time until the original document is sent to them. It is very common. I wouldn't over-stress. I don't see a long delay.
  5. I think that is a good idea...aside from the translation question.
  6. Seems to me that, regardless of what the 72 page document is, it does not have to be translated if submitted to the consulate since it is in Spanish. .
  7. A knowingly frivolous asylum claim? I wouldn't try it.
  8. I would contact the consulate. Some consulates require you have legal residence there. The other option is to contact the consulate in your current country and ask for a transfer.

  10. One option is to attend the interview, get the visa, and travel to the US to "activate" the Green Card. You can then immediately return to home country for a few months. Otherwise, any rescheduling must be done by the consulate. Medicals expire after 6 months.
  11. The DMV employee was wrong. Go to another DMV or wait until you get the plastic Green card. You will not have an I-94.
  12. I sent you a message regarding instructions: Select: 1. account settings, 2. then security and privacy 3. enter your password then the option will be available to close account.
  13. Don't waste your money. It does NOT have to be translated since it is in Spanish. The red text applies to ALL civil documents. Believe me, you are not the first person to ask this question.
  14. You will receive a receipt, and you will receive a 48 month extension letter. The extension letter extends the expiration date (printed on your Green Card) for 48 months. The letter, along with the expired Green Card, is evidence of your status as a legal resident. They must be used together.
  15. Read the text written in red. You do not have to translate documents written in Spanish. Translations would apply to documents written in a language OTHER than English or Spanish.

  18. I would prepare myself for a couple of expensive legal battles.
  19. That information can be found here: 2023 HHS Poverty Guidelines for Affidavit of Support | USCIS
  20. This requirement and a lot more information is listed in the following document under "What Evidence Must You Submit?". I suggest studying the I-129f instructions: Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) (uscis.gov)
