K1 requirements, meeting within 2 years of  all the years on VJ, ( with original profile from 2007)   I never seen a K1 visa petition approved with a wavier due to not meeting.

Even with all good intentions of meeting, even with a heath issue keeping from meeting at the moment.     Even a lawyer would say, " Then wait until you can travel."

Visitors Visa to US,    Has to show strong ties to his country, such as a good job, home, or own a business.  Strong reason to return to his country, especially from Africa.
A letter- invitation from you would not help at all, a visitor's visa is what HE applies for, not you. It's all on him.

Also keep in mind, the person on the other side of the computer screen can very well NOT be the person you think they are. Be careful inviting someone into you home who you truly do not know if a Visitor's Visa is somehow approved.

Best of luck whatever way you file.

Why would you need to pick her up and bring her here?  Presumably she is a grown woman and can travel as such?

And no, there are no visa extensions.

She is also from a MENA country, and the normally means AP
Yes,  even women from MENA countries are put in AP, especially after the 2015  San Berdino shooting involving Tashfeen Malik  from Saudi Arabia came in on a  K1 visa

Wallet stolen few months ago?  , and did you report it to USCIS?
It's required the beneficiary carries green card on them always.
Contact USCIS for what to do next.

Beth & Achraf got a reaction from SalishSea in Can I marry my US BF in UK, but I have expired UK Visa
Marry her or not in the UK,    she can't be interviewed there, due to her UK visa being expired.  Don't think you can obtain a marriage license in UK with her being our of status there.
She has to go back to Nigeria to be interviewed for K1 or a CR1 visa since her visa for the UK is expired

A zoom marriage is fine, but you have to consummate the marriage before filing with USCIS.

Her being in UK is not going to make the visa process faster. She will still go under all the background checks  as if she was in NIgeria.

Its easy, just have your envelope that the embassy gives you to give to the officer at Houston airport.
will not take long to pass through.

OP, don't be tempted to just hide the facts, even if your wife used fake credentials (fake name, and random SSN) to conceal her real identity.
Don't take the chance of underestimating the capabilities of USCIS and Homeland Security, because it may lead to serious repercussions.

Not as long as some have had, but Yesterday the 6th of April My wife took her Oath here in Las Vegas,NV, and marked the end of dealing with USCIS forever. Seeing the Naturalization Certificate was the most beautiful thing. Everyone here from the beginning November 2017 when I filed the K1, until now I would like to send out a thanks to those that have provided great advice, and allowed me to help others. A couple I married from VJ that also did a K1 just had their Citizenship test, and passed also. Their oath is the 11th of May. Knowing I was part of their journey from Marriage to Naturalization was rewarding also. I hope all the others I have married here from VJ also get to this point. It is so satisfying knowing you made it thru the war, won all the battles, and came out victorious. For anyone else out there, keep fighting, and don't give up. It is possible to make it out... a little rough for wear definitely, and probably with some lifelong scars and things that will haunt you forever, but knowing you came out on top is worth it.

I believe what is preventing OP from visiting is child support unit may hold his passport due to overdue child support. In addition, limited funds to travel internationally.

I would concentrate on paying back child support, getting your passport back and saving money for future travels and immigration fees/sponsorship.

I just checked my husbands case status on the uscis website and after FOUR years it finally says case was approved!!!! I don’t know if it helped at all but I did google our states immigration congressman and they were putting in an inquiry last week, and yesterday it was approved. I’m so relieved and I wish you all a painless removal of conditions process. This website has helped me so much from the start and I appreciate all of you!

ps we did NOT apply for his citizenship

I can vouch for that "Don't Mess With Texas", they will take it all and leave you a dime in change. Texas is not a child support friendly state for the man! Even if he is not working the support will accumulate each month. I've seen some guys as high as 80k

You have to go to SS office,  its  just like your driver's license when you have a green card, you cannot renew or even update your home address with Texas DPS online, you have to go there to the office.

Agreed.   I have also seen many American men here on VJ bemoan the fact that after bringing their Filipina wife over, they found out that the expectation was that they would support her family back home.

Not saying that will happen to you OP, but it is something to consider discussing before making a commitment to someone.

What was she doing for income before she found you?  Very odd to be financially supporting someone (and her child) you've met once.  For many, that would send up red flags.

If you are her only source of income then no, she will certainly not be granted a B2 visa and rightly so. No her daughter is not a tie, it's very common for parents to leave their children behind when going abroad in the Philippines.
