Hi, everyone 😁It's been a long time coming 😜 Filed  online today on our 9th year wedding anniversary 🥂
Quick question: where do I check for estimated case complete? I don't see any option in myUscis account.
Good luck and quick journey to us all!

I just applied on the June 1st via online. Fast and easy. I am not expecting a 4 month process due to their office closing but if this happens, it would be nice 🤩

You're welcome! But hey, check out some of these other comments people are saying in this thread. It seems like no one in IRS knows what they're talking about.

Website isn't working at all for me. I put my credit card in and always get the red error.  I filed from U.S. with U.S. cell number as os306 mentioned, and a VISA credit card. I don't understand the "mainly with new signups" part, because essentially you can't make an account unless you go through the whole process including submitting your C.C. - which is the part that I can't get past.

It works fine if you filed using a US address, and have a US cell phone number and credit card.

If you filed from abroad and/or don't have a US cell phone registered under your name you are SOL as the system does not let you register. Before COVID, this was no big deal because you could simply ring up the helpline and request that the transcripts be mailed to you. This currently isn't an option.

LOL, to make things worse, I just tried to fax my completed form 4506-T to the number listed (855-298-1145) but it looks like the line is off the hook and I keep getting a "busy" tone. The only other option is to mail the form, but on the IRS website it state "We have stopped processing transcript requests by mail until further notice.". What a laughable situation.

I thought they had stopped mailing transcripts?

Tax Transcripts are only available online.
We have stopped processing transcript requests by mail until further notice. If you only need to find out how much you owe or verify payments you made within the last 18 months, you can view your tax account.

Your friend should create an account as third party information is often unreliable. I’m unsure if being a person of moral character is a requirement for petitioning parents. It will come up again though when asked if she was ever petitioned before. As a heads up it would be extremely difficult to obtain citizenship if she does come here due to bigamy.

has she thought about divorcing her first husband and marrying her second husband?!

I'm still trying to piece together what is going on here.

So you checked no to vote and then went and asked them and....? They verbally told you you were registered? Did they give you any documentation of them registering you?

If this was nothing more then a worker telling you that you were registered to vote (and there's no record of this being true with voter office) then all of your concern is based on what the worker told you?

Did you tell them you didn't check to register? What did they say to that?

Again I'm just trying to understand what is going on.  Just because a random person says you registered and there's no proof of this actually occurring it's likely they gave you incorrect information.  But I'm not comfortable saying that is the case with out knowing if there's something more here you left out.

Dotagirlandboy reacted to JFH in What's after obtaining permanent residency?
ROC is removal of conditions. This changes your conditional green card (valid for 2 years) to a permanent one (each card will be valid for 10 years but your status will be permanent).

Citizenship is voluntary. You can, if you wish, remain a resident (aka green card holder) for the rest of your days here, if you wish. GC holders can’t vote and can’t take certain federal jobs. Depending on your current citizenship, you may or may not lose your original citizenship if you become a naturalized US citizen. Not all governments recognize dual citizenship.

Assuming you remain “in marital union” with your USC spouse, you are eligible to start the application for citizenship 90 days prior to the third anniversary of the “resident since” date on your GC.

In a divorce waiver, he only has to provide proof of bonafide marriage.  Don't provide him the evidence.  He can file and provide divorce decree, but it is more than that to be approved.  Don't focus on his immigration, focus on freeing yourself.

Current wife? Is this the one you plan on divorcing? You can only have one wife in the US, so I take it you're talking about your ex. Don't even think about anything immigration before you have divorced your WIFE and married the GIRLFRIEND you're with now.

You are eligible to apply for adjustment based on a marriage to a USC.   Success is dependent on your facts and circumstances

One thing to keep in mind-Trump often makes grand statements which he later clarifies and limits. This may affect only new work visas etc. It will almost certainly not be the complete ban it sounds like now.
