oh this is perfect, just what I wanted to know.  I have mine today in Louisville, KY at 2pm.  I'm making hubby drive me in with the kids and wanted to be able to tell him how long he would have to wait.   I'm expecting it to be similar to yours.  Thanks again and congrats!

update... after sending an email to USCIS regarding my biometrics appointment not being rescheduled, it was and I went in on Dec 16, 2020.  I have since had my interview on the 12th of Feb, I answered the first 6 questions correctly.  The officer corrected a few things on my application and then approved me, I waited in the waiting room for around 30 minutes for them to print my Oath Ceremony notice and its today at 2pm!  12 days after my interview.  Its nice that part is so quick.  after today, my journey is pretty much done.

    @moneythat,

Dude, give it up. Revocation of Citizenship is not in your control, you are not USCIS. As I said earlier, provide evidence you have to USCIS and let them investigate. Also, whether or not they investigate is not in your control either. In all the time you have been posting here, you could have sent or met with USCIS to give them the evidence.

Do you really want to go through all of this stress and anxiety to not know what happens? They may not even let you know the results of the investigation. Again I ask, why stress what you cannot control?

Here is what you can control:

    1. Turn in your evidence to USCIS

    You cannot control:

    1. Whether or not USCIS investigates
    2. Outcome, if investigation happens
    3. Whether or not your past spouse gets denaturalized

    I rest my case.

You're seeking vengeance, not justice. You want your ex punished by not only USCIS but other government agencies like social services (for benefits crimes) and even the DA (I don't know for what crime).

I truly sympathize, despite my tongue in cheek comments. This is a treacherous road and leads to mental anguish as someone has already advised. Submit what you have to the USCIS and be done with it.

If she gets de-naturalized (low chance), you will still have to deal with your own feelings about what happened.

Really wish you well. Take care.

I don't know the answer to your question I'm afraid, but if you're not a member of the Foreign Military Spouses facebook group, that's another really helpful resource with loads of people who have been through this process! Good luck!

Two different dates of birth, a name change, and an arrest... of course the officer questioned you thoroughly; he was just doing his job. And you were able to answer all questions satisfactorily.
    Congratulations on your approval!

There are gay people, and straight people, but no one thus far in the comments has mentioned that some people are bi-sexual...they're attracted to both sexes. You may not be a "cover up" wife. This is a very complicated mess for sure, but don't assume he's used you. He may genuinely love you and feel attracted to you, but at the same time have this addiction of infidelity. As others are suggesting, have a long conversation and try to keep it calm. Ask him how he feels about you, what he wants, and take the conversation onward from there.

    Hi.
Put your address in Germany, you are there long enough, that it is where you will both live, you are correct, it is considered US soil. If you need more clarification or guidance, USCIS has a military help line you can call: http://www.uscis.gov/military/military-help-line
FYI - this is also a military sub-section on this forum, best to put these questions in there, there are often many people who have been through this situation already.

Op, it sounds like you two have some serious communication issues. For example, why do you feel the need to lecture her on how to park, and to lock the car? I admit locking the car is such an obvious thing that if my husband felt the need to remind me, I may get annoyed too. Also, why did you not tell her that you had a headache? Not telling doesn't excuse her language, but to me it is odd that not feeling well is not communicated between spouses. Thirdly, you talk a lot about money- how it is really your car because you paid for it, how you spent a lot of money on the cats. In my case, I am the one who paid for almost everything as I made far more money, but I didn't see it like that, to me that was joint money, and joint posessions. If you keep reminding her that you are the one with the financial power, she may feel cornered.

He has a 10 year card, there is no need to prove anything. davidb1980, just remember to renew it before expiration.
Also, I just want to say that for some, citizenship is a disavantage. Don't assume it is the best solution for everyone.

i think it's perfectly fine to write up a letter of attestation claiming 'airhead husband' as the main cause for filing late. sure, an adjudicator might chuckle at it, but honesty is the best policy, aye?

I am so thankful for all the support we have received from everyone on Visa Journey! We spent a lot of time discussing everything about her decision, we read everyone's posts, and my Maria did decide it was way too soon to leave the USA!
So, she has decided to stay and work thru the homesickness and keep her mind on her and I... I am so happy because without the input of everyone who took the time to leave such positive comments, I'm not sure what the outcome might have been..
I even got a deal on the airline cancellation! I was only charged $25 to cancel the flight! WOW!
    Thank you everyone once again!

Thank you all for your kind words, support and advice. My green card doesn't expire until December 4, 2016, and I'm planning to leave the Country on October 27, 2015. So, now I have clarified with you all, I know I'm absolutely fine. On my return to London, I already planned to surrender my greencard at the Embassy. I'm incredibly relieved to know my ex can't do anything to me. Now I can look forward to my mini adventure, and leave America with positive memories as opposed to my current ones.
    Thank you all!

There are a lot of good people in prison, my husband included, who grew up under horrible conditions and just never had a chance until now. OP, don't be discouraged by judgmental people. The phrase "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" comes to mind when I hear people and their judgement. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes...
OP, if your fiance is in prison I would think you're better off with a CR/IR-1 visa. Mainly because with the K-1 visa, you need to get married within 90 days and that might be difficult to arrange with the prison. Also, remember that you have to get married in a ceremony you're both present at, unless you're fiance is in a state that allow family visits (which is extremely rare).
My husband and I decided on the CR/IR-1 visa rather than the K-1 because of the planning that goes into a prison wedding but also because on the CR/IR-1 visa, you'll be able to work straight away, which is obviously especially important with a spouse in prison. For bona fida proof, you send in the same proof as everyone else: photos of you together and with family, passport stamps/boarding passes of your trip/trips to see him, chat/email logs, phone records... This is for the CR/IR-1 visa thought, which I really think will be better in your case.
As someone else has already said, there are some crimes that may exclude your fiance/future husband from petitioning for you, so read up on the Adam Walsh act if your fiance is in prison for sexual- or violent crimes. When it comes to the K-1 visa, drug crimes also plays a part.
You can read it in my timeline but my husband and I are at the final stages of our visa journey, waiting for case complete from NVC this week and then on to the interview. My husband's imprisonment hasn't affected our visa journey so far, just as it shouldn't.
OP or anyone else with a loved one in prison, feel free to PM me if you have any questions specific to our situations. Any judgmental person feeling the need to PM me, DON'T. I will report you to the MODs for further action.
