Not for nothing, the bolded statement is what concerns me. I think there is more here then we are being told. I know no matter what the circumstances, my wife nor I would have ever considered saying our marriage is fraudulent. Good luck OP.

Others much smarter than I will weigh in, but to me your marriage is invalid and therefore you will not be able to get a greencard (yet). Your husband will have to divorce his first wife, then marry you and THEN you can AOS. Until then you are out of status and deportable.

Ah ok. The answer is still no, but mushroomspore answered it more eloquently.

Maybe I no longer understand your question, because to me you already know the answer. She can have dual citizenship, why would she want to renounce it?

    Hi,

As a wife of a Vietnam veteran it is upon me to enlighten you that multiple marriages for veterans, especially those who suffer with mental illness and physical circumstances, to have multiple failed marriages. I am lucky wife number 5 to mine, one of my husband's wives were also 101st Airborne and died in combat but hey what trauma could that cause someone in a time of war.

Our veterans face issues with money management, health, post combat stress and re-entry into society even long after their services has ended. You are right he did ask for your help, it was so nice of you to make someone who probably feels bad even worse.

    Classy.

I’m also a crew member traveling with the extension letter. I find it easier now than before because we can just skip the kiosk and go straight to the counter. We don’t wait in normal line like the peasants but the dedicated crew line. No problem with the officers either, it’s always a quick process and I even got ahead of other crew members using global entry.

OP, while I believe most people's comments are truly trying to ensure you are prepared for the expenses. I for one commend you.
IMHO, the majority of American's do not take care of their parents. It may be costly and difficult at times but good on you for sacrificing for them as I am sure they made sacrifices for you.

BTW - my employer will also let me add my parents to my insurance if they are my dependents per IRS regulations.

My mom and step dad married after only knowing each other for 2 months and they have been married for over 30 years. This was second marriages for both of them and they both knew what they wanted out of life. They have now been married for over 30 years, so it does happen.

As to your immigration question - why not wait until the last week of her 90 days and then marry? That will give you almost 3 months together and you can gather your documents and be prepared to file during that time. Once married, file for her. Any overstay is forgiven with the marriage to a USC. IF things don't work out as long as she goes home before her 90 days, then she doesn't risk her B2 visa for future visits to the US.

I didn't want to worry about the pre-nup drama so I made a different choice.
I managed to live my life as a total failure and accumulated no assets at all. No worries for me.
Oddly enough, now that she's here and has taken over the finances, we're doing much better financially.
    Happiness!

The why is unimportant; she is entitled to as a matter of law, if she can prove a bona fide marriage and abuse.
I've seen the same question asked of widows and widowers of US citizens (myself being one of them). Frankly, it's no one else's damn business.
