Hi,

On Aug 23, an IO gave me notice to appear for Oath Ceremoney. The notice states the time 1:00 pm. But when I checked the US Court House schudule, the only Oath Ceremony schuduled is at 10:00 am, there is no ceremony at 1:00 pm. Is this happened to anyone and what should I do?

I would arrive  at 10am.

I was planing on going at 10am. Another issue is that according to the Court schudule, ceremony will be held at the US Court House. But the notice she handed me has a preprinted time and address for USCIS office where I had my interview.

Would it be an incorrect time zone?

I do not think it is an incorrect time zone.

Plan to be there early (9 or 9:30am) and clarify with the clerks at the court.

Rather go early and be told 1pm is correct, than miss the correct time if it is earlier

Several uscis field offices administer oath on site so your oath could literally be held in the field office and not in a court house. Showup for 10 am oath at the court and if you are not on the list, appear for 1 PM oath at the field office.

Ah well that changes everything.

Go to your appointment at the specified time and place.

If there are oath ceremonies for people adjudicated at your field office at the court house and oath ceremonies also at the field office then this suggests to me the former are changing their names as part of the naturalization process

Or the court house oaths are for a different field office.

Court does oath three times a months. They have reserved three different days, one for each three FO in that FO's Fed Court. Friday is reserved for this FO. I think, as Arken said, there is a possibility that FO administers an Oath inhouse apart from the Court. But in anycase, I am planing to go early to Court just to clarify if I am not on their list.

So you're looking at the wrong location. Your ceremony will be held at a USCIS facility at 1pm, not at a court house at 10am.

hi

needs your Oath ceremony to be held at the Courthouse? most of the ceremonies are held at USCIS office unless it  is needed to be done by a judge like if you are requesting a name change. I think there is no mistake when you arrive they only allow you to attend at the time shown in your invitation but if it makes you feel comfortable  ill would also arrive at 9;45 am at the Courthouse but honestly if you were to attend at the Courthouse your invitation should say Courthouse

Congrats!

No, I am not requesting a name change. When IO gave me the notice, I asked if there is an earlier availability of Oath, to which IO responded: unfortunately this is the only one available.

I was reading online and noticed that my notice time is not what is listed on the couthouse so that got me worried. I work nation-wide in refugees resettlement and my work makes my FO very far from me so I wanted to be sure. I will arrive at 9:30 just to be sure.

Thank you:)
