most likely no but every state is different. you just go to the local DMV on arrival and ask them.. UAE drivers license is to drive in UAE

Usually your foreign DL and International IDL are no good once you a resident. Once you apply for AOS you will need to apply for a state DL. However, the grey area is when you just arrived and you not married or applied for AOS. I have heard folks say you not allowed to drive on any foreign DL or IDL if you came in on a K1 visa....you should definitely talk to you state DMV

Except that the OP is an intending immigrant, not a visitor, so that doesn't apply.

From the Oregon DMV website -- "You are considered a visitor if: [...]

  • You do not  plan to take any steps to become a resident of Oregon."

@melanie44, Oregon DMV requires new residents to get a state DL within 30 days of moving to the state if they want to drive -- https://www.oregon.gov/odot/dmv/pages/new2or/moving.aspx

The issues is Resident, most States allow new Residents a certain time before requiring a State DL.
