European police isn't highly militarized and isn't as dysfunctional, also European countries destroying themselves is a Newsmax/OANN talking point. I also didn't say leftist. I said left. Even a lot of European parties on the right are more to the left than democrats in the US.

In the Philippines you can live on 1500 per month fairly well by their standards.  That has zero to do with life in the US

Cost of living or income also has zero to do with what you quoted, and you can't really compare the Philipines to the US or Western-Europe. But since you made that point, the average salary there isn't exactly 1500/month. Also, Duterte is pure garbage.

I don't really see why you can't compare the US to Western-Europe, other than the fact that the US doesn't really seem to care about its citizens as much as every other 1st world country.

my point exactly. I never said 1500 is the AVG salary and Duterte rocks.

Considering his love for violating human rights and executions, that's a really weird thing to say. I'm also not exactly sure why you brought up the 1500 then.

This is also very off-topic, so I'm just going to hop out of this.

Not really sure about Europe as that is one place I have absolutely no desire in ever visiting, but you could be right.  As to the EU members destroying themselves, you don't need your referenced sources to see that as there are 15 members with a debt to GDP ratio over 60% with 7 over 100%.

To be fair I can see the Progressives are Fascistic

And they routinely accuse others of what they themselves are guilty of doing or saying.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Well that explains. If you traveled more and ingested less far right propaganda you would know that american parties are right wing (as in objectively right to the world average, and right of the right wing parties in most first world countries) and that police brutality is not excused in most first world countries.

Anyways, i need to stop reading  this subforum, its just not good for me.

Maybe you are right, who really cares as there is one thing the US should not be doing and that is to emulate the EU, but the fact that more and more of the leaders of the Democrat Party are committed socialist leads me to see them as Extreme Left not by the standards of the failed EU members, but by my own references such as the failed USSR.

You do realize that if the US hadn't placed an embargo on Cuba in the 60s, that it probably wouldn't have been in its current position, right? Cuba is where it is right now because of what the US did to it and is still doing to this day.

Also, what you're saying is that a poor country is able to provide its citizens with free healthcare, but one of the richest countries in the world isn't. I really don't think that's the win you're looking for here.

perhaps he's saying the reason the usa is rich is because it doesn't provide free healthcare, and a poor country is poor because it does..........

That would be a weird argument to make if you look at the richest countries in the world and their healthcare systems.
