Hi,

I have applied for adjustment of status. I received my NOA1, NOA2, done my finger prints. But after received RFE of " Please send latest tax transcript within 87 days of notice.

So I want to know from where I should get transcript as IRS offices are closed due to covid 19.

Which.other documents i need to send in RFE.

If the RFE specifically asked for the transcripts, then that is what is required.  Hopefully IRS offices will reopen before the 87 days is up.

Not always, Geowrian.  I have never been able to get mine online, and I am the US Citizen part of our duo.

OP, if you are getting close to the 87 days, then print out your COMPLETE 2019 tax package (including copies of your W-2s, 1099s, etc.), and add a note saying you are submitting your 2019 tax return as the response to the RFE as the IRS offices are not able to provide you with your transcripts in time due to COVID-19.  Hopefully things will ease up by then.

Best of luck!

I did say "can", not must. :P

Yes, there are some people who have had issues retrieving them from the website for various reasons. But doing so via the website would be my first suggestion.

Thanks Sukie,

I have print out pf transcripts from IRS website.. My question is online transcripts would be fine..so no need of stamped transcripts from IRS as offices are still closed.

I am running near to my 87 days of notice resoponse time... one more thing is it true that USCIS have extended 60 more days of reply to RFE because of COVID.

Appreciate a lot

When you reply to your RFE, don't forget to add a copy of the letter they sent you on top of your response. They scan the barcode and that makes it easier to attach your response to the rest of the package. Good luck!

I got same RFE, sent online transcripts and everything was fine.

Everything is online and very easy to download. The mailing option is temporarily suspend. I just got mine. You can obtain this in less 20 minutes.

Good luck

Appreciate a lot

Back in 2009 and 2010 the IRS office would date stamp and initial them when they gave them out: they no longer do that/ they just hand out the printed copy same as you can get online
