I agree with this analysis 100%. The current administration is anti-immigration, and I don't mean this in any political way, it's just a fact that is on record, thus the source of my extreme pessimism over any sort of bailout being agreed upon before the election. Big sigh.

so if the Dem wants more vote, they should take the chance right now ! fund the uscis and expedite the process lol

I think that could be a good strategy for them, but I'm not sure that it would pass through the Senate and if it did I'm not sure it wouldn't be vetoed by the executive branch. I've heard nothing back from either my representative nor one of the senators I've contacted. It doesn't seem like it's on their radar, unfortunately. Just hoping that at least my wife gets the 10 year green card before the furloughs. Good luck to you!

hello everyone!

so I just found this thread and I have a question. I am filling for n-400 and there is this question

Have you EVER been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer (including immigration official or any official of the U.S. armed forces) for any reason?

so I had a situation like 2 years ago where my dog got loose from his leash and an officer gave me a $500 ticket because of it and I guess I could have paid the ticket and get it over with  but the officer said if I choose to appear after the judge and plead guilty they could lower the ticket so I did and indeed the ticket went down to $250. Do I have to answer yes to the question above? thanks in advance!!!

yes, you have to answer "YES" no matter what the fine is because the question is asking if you have ever been cited. The fine is another issue, If fine is less than $500, then you don't have to provide documents. However, I advice you to provide payment receipt or to take it with you to interview.

#######, I just realized I was once cited for a traffic violation back in 2015 and I forgot about it in my application. I didn't pay a fine and just ended up doing traffic school online.

How can I fix this?

Probably during interview...ha ha Hubby has had two tickets and I don’t remember reading abojt a fine or citation, so we’re in trouble to

Hi, just saw that ASC offices have an opening date set. Hoping this mean we'll be moving to biometrics appoint soon.

Good to know that more ASC's have reopening dates.

I'm in Iowa, which is scheduled to reopen on 7/27. That kinda stinks as the state never really officially closed since the pandemic began - no stay-at-home order - so to be on the late end of the openings irks me.

Oh well, hopefully then I'll be able to get my bio and whatever else done before winter as I have to drive halfway across the state from where I live.

*fingers crossed*

Portland ASC office will finally open on July 20th which is great considering the fact that the city  entered the 1st phase of reopening only 11 days ago. I wonder though if this delay will affect the estimated time frame that I was given when I filed.

Based on the incoming furloughs for USCIS staff next month, I've given up on any hopes of a timely case process now. It shows Apr 2021 as completion time for me but with a 70% staff reduction next month, that no longer seems realistic.

Anyone on here with 4 days estimated time for N400 while pending for I 751?

Once the 4 days are up it will change to "we are taking longer than expected, blah blah" and it'll be stuck that way for god knows how long.

I believe you used the unsolicited documents area to upload as well as that seems to be the only area. Did you call or contact uscis for this?

It sucks to be stuck in a limbo now, unsure whether or not they will see or use the "unsolicited" uploads

I'm a July filer and the same thing happened to me. Can you please tell me what did you exactly? I don't want to mess things up any further 🤦🏻‍♂️

I can't seem to find any of my uploads, should use that section to upload my documents??

Quick question guys, if I plan to move from Maryland to Colorado, how can we change address for my N-400. Due to this tough job market, I lost my job at Marriott and found a new one in Denver, CO. How does this impact N-400 process in terms of delay.? Any idea
