Not sure how quickly this case was approved, but seems it was "four months early" based on OP's post:

So maybe things are moving more quickly these days.

That was my post.  When I said "four months early" that was compared to NSC normal times of 355 days.  Got it in less than 8 months so "fast" for Nebraska.

I sent my I130 application to phoenix lockbox on March 9, 2020 (recieved NOA1 soon after, sent to Potomac center) and today I recieved an email from NVC and checked the status, it says approved as of April 16, 2020. Has anyone else had such a quick approval? I was expecting 7-12 months. Is this virus related...

Wow, that's nuts! But congratulations!

Mine was a IOE # that went to Potomac but it took 242 days. There was a major slowdown between December to March when Potomac got a pile of Nebraska transfers, but looks like they sure have sped up now.

Congratulations! We got our petition approved last night; we submitted (paper by mail) end of January so it took less than 3 months, wild! We got assigned to Texas service center but our approval notice came from Potomac, so they must have reassigned it at some point? We're thrilled, but expecting the NVC phase to take a lot longer than normal, what with the consular services shutting down from covid and the supposed impending executive order..

Congrats...glad to hear some good news.  We had a pretty slow I-130 journey 3 years ago, but got approved just one day after our scan date at the NVC.  That was in the early days of electronic processing there.  May your journey continue to be fast.

Wow. This is lightening speed in terms of US immigration. This is very rare. Congrats.
