Does anyone here how the USCIS furlough is going to impact the I-130 spousal processing, since they are exempt from bans. Is USCIS retaining enough workers so that these petitions are processed normally?

I suspect even if they do have enough workers, spousal processing will be a lot slower. Current govt seems pretty anti immigration at the moment so there is no urgency/pressure from them to process anything faster.

Had a first date change on June 23rd ! At least it's moving forward, a way or another 😀

Yes that's great we had date change on March 9th then again today June 24th not sure if anything what it means just after reading so many quick approvals this year makes me wonder if we will be way ahead of schedule. Hope so but either way all is good .

So I just called + talked to a live representatives online and this was what they told me:

  1. First person on the phone told me that my service center was California (even though my NOA1 letter was from texas service center). They said my case was there electronically.
  2. I talked to someone online and they said my case was in potomac
  3. I called again and spoke to a representative that said my case was in nebraska
  4. I talked to a live representative online and asked them to please check properly. Apparently my case was transferred from nebraska to california service center and it's currently in california service center (it was transferred on feb23)

I asked what the average processing time was for an i130 for a spouse sponsorship and they replied there is no data. Anyone had their case transferred to CSC from nebraska? I would recommend people to talk to a live rep and get their status as the online/sent NOA1 isnt' accurate anymore.

Just read an article they plan to furlough roughly 69% of their workforce. Thats a lot! I hope they get their funding

Glad to see all these approvals for Feb 2020 filers.

I filed I -130 for my spouse and minor child online Feb26. receipt says Texas Service center
My husband file was touched last on 5/1  and my daughter 4/23 no other updates or activity.

I am really getting concerned that it’s now July and nothing for us, but I’m seeing all these fast approvals. 😫
