Make sure you have a safe place to stay. Save any and every message he sends to you in case he tries to lawyer up. It's always better to have evidence and not need it than not have evidence and need it. Focus on yourself; none of this will impact your ability to apply for naturalization at the 5 year mark.

Yes, a co-worker is ready to help me, through everything. Thanks 🙏🏽

We're trying to not let the uncertainty and waiting of everything get to us. I'm praying that we'll all start to see cases moving forward in the next couple of weeks. We were hoping that our pending ROC would change from ready for an interview to green card scheduled. But it looks like it is not going to happen :(

Hubby is studying for the test and reviewing his application. We play Citizenship Interview a couple of times a month, so he can become more confident/not have to worry about trying to learn everything within a month's notice of his actual interview.

We made our own flash cards using the official site and for questions with multiple answers, we focused on one easy answer he could remember.

I applied on Feb 8th and my estimated time is April 2021.

I am surprised how for some places the wait is so little while for some places its too long.

But anyways I wish all the best to everyone 😊

I applied June 1 last year and still no updates, still waiting. I don't even have an estimated date.

Hello guys. I am new to this forum. I hope everyone is doing okay during this pandemic time. I have some questions about my case. I filed N400 in February 2020 online. However, during the waiting time for the case being processed, our marriage is not on a good term now. So I wonder by the time I get the interview for N-400, if we are going through separation stage ( not divorce officially , I am still trying to work it out), what possibly will happen to my case ? Also, when I filed N-400 online I used copy form of birth certificate to prove my husband is US citizen. I wonder if it is okay to present copy form of those paper works at the interview if required or it has to be original form ? Thank you so much .

I filed based on 3 years of marriage. Also, if I want to file based on 5 years of resident. which time frame will I use to calculate to know if i hit 5 years of resident (since the day I got  2 years of GC or 10 of GC ?). Thanks very much for your response

The five years would start the date of your permanent residency. That would be the date on your 2 year GC (I can't remember if its on the 10 year one as well but definitely the 2 yr)  You would need to have the original documents when you go to interview. If you file for divorce I really would withdraw the N400 and reapply once you hit 5 years. Since it seems like troubles just started have you guys thought about marriage counseling? It is being offered over the phone/internet for places that are closed in person. You don't want to file for a divorce, have your interview and then the divorce becomes final before you have your oath ceremony- you would have fraudulently obtained your citizenship and have it taken away. It's not worth it to chance it with a denial. You also have to be living in a marital union at time of N400.

1. Married and Living in Marital Union

In general, all naturalization applicants filing on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen must be the spouse of a U.S. citizen from the time of filing the Application for Naturalization until the applicant takes the Oath of Allegiance. In addition, some spousal naturalization provisions require that the applicant “live in marital union” with his or her citizen spouse prior to filing the Application for Naturalization. [19] USCIS considers an applicant to “live in marital union” with his or her citizen spouse if the applicant and the citizen actually reside together.

It looks like someone messed up the spreadsheet 🙁🙁🙁 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ejnUze1-LBRVcSUuXgsDR247G4bpImpUtFHL_xvtQ3w/edit#gid=492990081

Someone who filed in April posted on it; someone changed the title to "May 2020" and deleted the first half of the spreadsheet. Any chance anyone is able to fix this? I'm not sure if there is so past autosave on it or something of the like?? I'm disappointed lol
