You should be ok, because I always write 1, even though he has been married before and am the second one.

i think 🤔 we are right, because I wrote 1 in i751 and I went for interview and it wasn’t a problem so I think we are fine.

And the name I don’t think it a big deal, they will understand

And i just now realized that online application does not give us options to input numbers. It just asks us if your spouse has been married before ? And i said 'Yes' and gave previous spouse details and then when we check the application snap shot after submitting it shows the number of times current spouse married as '1'.  Looks like the app does this. So i think its not a mistake from our end.

even those with work visas

I think those who had ITIN instead of SSN did not receive it. Only those who had SSN and filed Tax returns received it in 2008. But we don't really know the rules this year.

So today i noticed that i have made two mistakes on N400.

One under 'other names' (previous names used) i wrote my maiden name with two last names , instead of mentioning one as middle name and one as last name.

And the other mistake was , I misunderstood the question under part 10 , section 8 " How many times your current spouse has been married", I misunderstood that the question to be how many times he was married 'before' , so i wrote 1. Although right under that question i gave correct information on my husband's previous spouse and their divorce information and attached the divorce decree since the online application asked for it. So the mistake was instead of writing 2 marriages for him ( All marriages including ours), i wrote 1( assuming they wanted to know how many times he has been married 'before) . But i have given information about his previous marriage and divorce in the application so the mistake is only in the numbers section.

So i attached a letter today explaining my mistakes and that i wanted to amend the two mistakes , i uploaded the PDF letter under other documents online.

I am going to explain this to the IO in the beginning of the interview.

I should be ok right? what do you think?

Hi KCMO,

I think you should be fine. Things change since filing the form to interview, but if you let the IO know at the beginning it should be good.

My husband has a job change that he'll need to tell the IO about as well as update addresses for the last 5 years. We also didn't upload a speeding ticket, because we thought (mistakenly) that if it was under $300 you didn't have to put it. He's going to mention everything at the start of the interview and once we receive the interview date will upload a PDF as well. Can I ask how you wrote your letter?

Just curious: did anyone else see a change in average processing times at their center? While minuscule, I did notice that the average time for a N-400 in Philly moved up by 2 weeks since Friday. Could this potentially be related to the drop off in visitor visas as there is a travel ban in place, i.e resources freed up to work through backlogs? Hope I am not reading to much into this minuscule change.

Just checked from Dallas, TX and the processing time changed from 10 -15 months (when I applied) to 9-12 months now.

But the processing times keep changing all the time, I wouldn't get too excited about it. Just sit tight & wait for your interview letter, everything else is just speculation.

I saw a huge change- negatively- for Hartford. When I applied it said 8.5-13.5 months and now it’s at 8.5-19.5 months. 🙁

I would take it with a grain of salt though. They will always change and we know things will be moving slower with the Coronavirus. Don’t forget- the visitor visas aren’t processed in the US but at the consulate in that country so I don’t think that would “help” us at all.

Thanks for the update! There is so much uncertainty with everything going on, I don't know how far back USCIS will be delayed with their interviews.

Oh good, I saw it this morning and wasn't sure if it was back or i it was something I just hadn't previously noticed.

Mine says 6 months, which matches the expected completion date from the time before it was removed. It is also in line with typical processing times for the Philly office.

Keeping fingers crossed and best of luck to everyone! Stay safe during these trying times.
