RFE October 20th... we filed with the help of an immigration lawyer so I'm interested to see what the RFE letter says... 

 

Our RFE, for those interested in what that can entail :

1) My fiancé's passport photos don't fit the criteria. (They're exactly the same as mine. We had them taken at the same place at the same time, by the same person. So this is stupid but we'll just resubmit new ones).

 

2) Proof of having the meeting requirements for 2 years prior to applying. (Again, stupid... We lived together in my home country, as seen in our address history... But we will submit further evidence: a letter from our landlord stating same; several affidavits from our family and friends with photos of us all at various events ; more copies of boarding tickets for holidays etc.).

 

I am finding myself very frustrated at this whole process. For supporting evidence e.g photos, Airbnb receipts...My best friend used to hang out at our apartment with us constantly...we have one singular picture of us all together. Any events/airbnbs were always in one person's name... Its like the more time you spend with someone the less evidence you have to show 😂😭

 

At least an RFE means someone is looking at our file, even if it is very disappointing to receive one.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

Seeing that the March and even April filers are getting NOA2, I am really starting to wonder if I'll get NOA2 at all. I see that some previous filers are still not approved (from Dec, Jan.)

Filed 2/26. I got a RFE and they received my RFE on oct 2 and haven’t heard anything in over a month. 8 months in abs I don’t even have an approval 🥺💔
