Hi yellowtulips, I was wondering if your case statues was updated to "Case was Transferred to NVC" on USCIS website?  It's been almost 6 weeks that my I-130 petition was approved, neither my case status has changed on the USCIS site nor I have received any correspondence from NVC and USCIS.

Thanks

it won’t be updated on USCIS website. Just wait for email when you get from nvc it can take time.

Thanks for the response! I have seen people mentioning on VJ that there case statuses were updated when USCIS sent their cases to NVC. I am really confused at this moment.

I have contacted both USCIS and NVC. NVC hasn't received my case yet, and USCIS gave me a vague answer.

I have been waiting 7 months to see these words since our first submission but.....drum roll please.......

WE GOT DQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st submission: April

2nd submission: July

3rd submission: August

4th and final submission: October 23rd :D

I think I am almost happier to be done with our immigration lawyer than to have a consulate interview on the horizon!

Thank you to everyone who has offer advice or kind words

And to any new people on this thread, my advice is to read the very first post, you can learn a lot, and even reading a few pages will answer the same questions that people ask every few days. :P

Good luck to all!

Congrats! So happy for you.. what an awesome Xmas prezzy 🙌🙌🙌

hopefully not to far behind you 🤞

I did ask them if my case was sent to NVC, but the CSR wouldn't tell me, he didn't have access to my case. I did request to talk to tier 2 officer and was transferred to one, he didn't know that either. He just raised a service request for me and told me to wait for the response of the SR.

Hey, myuscis says in process. It never said “sent to NVC.” The main USCIS site says approved and that’s it. Still no NVC

So basically it won’t always say it’s been sent to NVC even though it has been!

My case updated when it was sent to NVC saying "your case was sent to department of state"; however never updated online when it was approved, they are bad at updating the website it seems

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Well, nothing we could do but wait. Keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping that we all get through this never ending journey.
