Hi Everyone,

Just checked my USCIS account and my interview has finally been rescheduled. My new date is November 5. Chicago office. Its official now that I won't be able to vote - I'm super bummed about that, but happy to finally get this long overdue interview over with.

Okay, here is my final post for reaching my destination after an awfully longggggggg journey.

As I posted last week, I received a call from the Syracuse office and was informed my oath ceremony would be Friday, 9/25, at 10 in their office. I also received a letter from them.

However, a couple of days later, I accidentally found a different notice with a different location in my online account. So I called the 800 number. The tier 1 officer told me she was seeing that I should be going to somewhere in Buffalo. I told her I have never been to that office and both my fingerprints and interview were with the Syracuse office. She then transferred me to tier 2. Tier 2 officer congratulated me and assured me that I should go to the address showing online.

Somehow my guts told me to go the Syracuse field office. So I did but gave myself extra 30mins just in case. Once I arrived at their office, it got confirmed I went to the right place.

The ceremony was scheduled at 10 and there were 4 of us. One woman barely speaks English and didn’t bring a translator so we waited for about 20-30 mins for them to get her settled.

The ceremony itself was only 1 minute maybe. An officer led the process. He told us his name, then asked us to stand up, raise our right hand, and read after him. After the oath he handed us the documents and we were told to leave.

Hello all! I know I’ve been MIA. I needed a break from all things immigration after 6 years of dealing with it. Congratulations to all those who have finished over the last couple months.

I am wondering for those who are done, have you dealt with updating Social Security after your ceremony. With the offices closed, how have you notified them about your status change? We called and they said we didn’t need to worry about it right away but if we wanted to we could send everything in through the mail. We worry about sending my husband naturalization certificate in the mail for fear it will not be returned.

Hi everyone,

Just found this thread, congratulations everyone who has been approved so far.

My filling date is 12/18/2019 - Brooklyn, NY, filled online. Haven't had an updates since biometrics in Feb.

I wonder if anyone has my filing date and filled from NYC?

I called USCIS today to see if they can give me an update on when I can expect an interview but of course they couldn't. They just said that an interview has been requested but no date given yet.

I am definitely ready to be done with dealing with visa's it's been along time since those NOA-1 days

I am in a very similar situation. I filled N400 12/21/19 NYC. I haven't received anything since Biometrics in Jan. got the same answer from USCIS....interview has been requested.

Hello! I just received an email saying my “case is scheduled for interview”. I checked myuscis account and it still showing “we’re actively reviewing your account and you do not need to do anything this time”. How long should i expect for the notice to show up in my documents tab? How far out is the interview usually scheduled? I’m sick to my stomach because I’m not expecting and ready yet. I'll have to buckle up and start studying!
Also my N400 is based on my K1 marriage. Didn’t have any interview with AOS and ROC. Do i have to bring my husband with me? He’s currently away for training right now ‘coz he’s in the military. I’m honestly starting to panic now.
