Hi Everyone,

Quick question. on form I864, Section 5, the Household size... I'm a little confused. It says not to count someone more than once, but how did you answer if the person who is the immigrant is also the spouse? I put N/A for Spouse, and then wrote in the extra space that the immigrant is the spouse... what did everyone else do?

Wow that was a long time for then to reject. What happens if they reject and youre past the expiration of i94

They just sent the whole package back to us. We fixed everything, triple check this time time and sent it back again.

My I-94 was expired even when I filed it first time, so it didn't effect the application

But it's still better to apply before it expires)

MMM i guess for question 1 you put - 1, because you are only sponsoring your spouse in this affidavit, right?

And then don't put anything in question 3. We left it blank. because you've already showed your spouse in question 1

makes sense!

One other question. On the I 485, question 19 - Nonimmigrant visa number from this passport is that the number in the top right of the visa?

Hey, everyone. We're applying in December, but i've been reading all the threads just to be prepared. I have a question regarding the SSN. So, we'll be in the States on the 1st of December and we're getting married on the 14th of December. Do I apply for a SSN with my maiden name right after we enter the States, or I can just apply after we get married?

Hi... Yes... apply before you get married. After you get married and get your card you can go and change it to your married name if you wish

mmmm I'm not sure on which part of visa they print it out in different consulates but it's usually the one in red color

I would recommend you to apply only with  your maiden name and do not change it until you at least get your EAD. I changed mine without any problems, but I've read a lot of stories here lately that people couldn't change it or get it on your married name, it just gets stuck somewhere. They say that some SS offices need some other document besides marriage certificate to prove name change. I think I even screenshoted one of the comments about it

Quick question regarding your NOAs, did your approval NOAs have the same MSCXXXXXXXX number as before when they returned you the whole package or did the new NOAs have completely new MSCXXXXXXXXX numbers?
