Event Description

Embassy Review : A quick and pleasant experience! Arrived at 7:15 am for my 8 am interview. I ended up waiting in the wrong line (K1 applicants stands in the line directly in front of the embassy, not that one inside the glass building). Security was quick and easy and I was the first one to be let in the embassy. After a few minutes of waiting I was called up to window 7 to hand over my documents. The woman asked for the tax returns receipts and I presented her with the W2’s which was wrong. She gave me a number and told me to sit down until my number was called. While waiting I read the IMBRA- document which was provided to me. After maybe ten minutes of waiting I was called up to another window for my interview. I was surprised that it wasn’t in a separate room. The man interviewing was very friendly and only asked a few questions such as “When did you last see him?” and “How did you meet?”. After about three minutes worth of interviewing he said “Everything appears to be in order. You will get your passport back in ten days”. I asked if that meant I was approved and he smiled and told me yes!!
Rating : Very Good

Hey - question for you. How long did it take for your check to cash for AOS? I can't tell if my package got lost or not and the only way for me to tell is when the check gets cashed. Do you happen to remember? Thank you so much.

Hey Scooter! I think it tok about a month to get our cash check, because I remember being worried about it. Our NOA1s also took close to a month. If you can track your package and it shows that it was delivered then you should be fine! Hey Leah! I’m only about six months late😂 but thank you!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
