I just called NVC. Told me they are working on cases received on 09/11. My case received on 10/03. Hopfully we will get case number soon

So we have to wait for them to be processing cases in order to be assigned a case number? One would think they’d assign a number whilst receipting it? No?

I don't know how the process work. I seen here case received on 10/01 to NVC and got case number. I hope we will get case number end of this month or sooner.

My timeline is the same as you. I was approved the same day and my case sent the same day to NVC from Nebraska.  I hope I get my case number and welcome letter soon.

Congratulations. If your case sent to NVC on 09/24 mean they are received on 10/01. You got case number very soon. Mine received on 10/01 I hope get case number soon

That's really fast to get a case number - less than a month. Most people it's taking 45-60+ days. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come and not a one off!

Our case was sent to NVC 09/13; seeing people with later dates get case numbers made me nervous, so I had my husband go through all his emails last night lol... hoping to hear from them soon! 🤞🏻

  • ID: 04/07/2020 <- cancelled by Corona
  • ID: 05/27/2020 —> approved

Thank you! My case was sent to NVC on sep 24th, and we got a case number yesterday. So almost 27 days. I have seen other timelines with similar timeframe so hoping for the same for you all!

The email was sent to my email address aswell. This was the subject of the email 

“Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation”

keep a look out for this. 
NVC sends it to both the petitioner as well as the beneficiary.
