I am in similar boat but filed just this past September. How has your experience with the consulate here been? Do you have interview date scheduled yet? Good luck!

hi! I had my interview on 29/11 as we expedite our case on 13 Nov! good luck to you too! I'm still waiting for my body check result and police certificate then we will pass it to embassy again!

Wow exciting, congrats. Is it the HK police clearance? Thought you had to have that before the interview but that's great. Can I ask how you expedited? I was hoping to move back this Summer 2020 but doesn't look like we will make that... Thanks for replying!

yes, I have it done on 6 Nov, but embassy said not yet rec'd it.
we sent an email said that my husband's job is transfer back to US, and the employment will be start in Jan 2020.

hopefully you get hear something soon! good luck! :)

Hi i have a similar timeline and my husband’s I-130 just got approved. May I know if both of you live in Hong Kong? We both live here now and I just read the next step of affidivit of support I need to be in the US and have a job? Its impossible for us to do that because we have young kids there and would like to move back as a family. Wondering if anyone is of a similar case. Thanks!

both of us were working in hk that time, but my husband got an employment letter from Chicago office as a proof of internal transfer the office from Hk office back to Chicago! (which
we use it to showing him still get income if he move back to States.)
hope it help you!

Hi guys! Did you ever receive an interview date from the consulate in HK?

my interview was approved on 29 Nov 2019, we filled an expedite request to NVC.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
