I've been so vested in my own journey, with the I-1485, I-751, the N-400 that I have no timeline ideas for this at all.

How long do you guys think it will take for our parents to have their I-130 approved based on current times? And how long after the approval will they be able to get interviews and finally come to the US?

Similar time line as for spouse visa. 11-15 months from i130 submission to visa in hand .. .. visa is valid for 6 months after issue.  .. or 6 months from medical  date if earlier .. parent must enter before it expires

Are some service centers faster than others?

I won't lie, I was expecting it to take this long.

Yes .. Some  service centres are faster .. but as we don’t get to select which Center the I130 is sent to, it really doesn’t matter!

Doesn't matter in the sense that they're all similar in timeline?

I know I'm with Potomac. No idea where they stand.

Thank you. So this just means that the I-130 is approved right, the NVC and consulate visits are seperate, how long is that part of the process?

Yes the longest part of the process is to get the I130 approval. The whole process .. from I 130 submission through approval , NVC process , Consulate and interview to visa in hand is around 1 year

Hiya kind friends, looks like we are joining this journey too, my husband mailed in the I-130s for his parents. Technically not July filers obviously but I haven't seen any threads for parents filers made after this one, so figured I'd post our updates here 🤷‍♀️

Filed Oct 24 at the Phoenix service center (we live in AZ now)

NOA1 received today Nov 6, dated Oct 31

IOE number

We got the Texas service center, kinda bummed as I was hoping we'd get Potomac since it seems to be the fastest but, hey at least it's not Nebraska

Hi HSsweethearts,

I see that you filed on October 24 and now Texas SC is handling your cases. I also filed for my parents in October and we got Texas service center too. Please join us at this thread, which is specifically for October 2019 filers, so that we can keep each other updated!
