So my fiancé called USCIS last night and they mentioned about using “tools” “Emma” and that it will tell us the same information that she’s telling us. Does anyone know about this? I went and checked it out but it still leads me to the same “case status” page, which we’re all familiar with.

It only can help with very very general questions, almost useless IMO.

Called again now. Nothing, just the same 5.5-7.5 months script. Told them that that wasn't true and people from July have been approved. They had literally no response to that just silence. I then asked to talk to a tier 2 officer and was told they're "too backed up" to escalate calls. I told them I don't care how long the hold wait is I'll wait, but they said they can't even put me on hold and I'd have to call back. Will call back later and start off by asking for a tier 2. I'm tired of being told the same lies that they're working on April right now.

Called again this morning and asked to be transferred to a tier 2. They gave me a really hard time about it, but eventually did. Waited a half hour on hold just to be told the same thing 5.5-7.5 months blah blah blah no help

I found it!

I don't know how to do it though. I've been trying to get a live person for the past few minutes and it has yet to work. Maybe I haven't annoyed Emma enough.

Day 105. I'm not calling anymore. It is more frustrating than waiting. The woman I spoke with last night told me they look at the exact site we have, even though I told her several times the site is not updating correctly.  I'll just wait for the mail as it seems almost all are getting their approvals that way.

I'm glad you are coming around to "it will take as long as it will take" mentality. We all have better things to do then chasing phone calls. I'm sure you will find ways to spend your time being more productive toward what you want.:thumbs:

I was able to get a live agent through Emma. Just keep typing in speak to live agent. That being said, they are as useless as the people on the phone.

You'll have better luck and less stress just waiting. My case STILL shows  case received  imagine that.

For those of you and I know there are many let me share something from USCIS why you don't have an approval when YOU want one.

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

Quick question.... where exactly did you get this sort of reply?  Did this come from an electronic case inquiry?  The reason I am asking, is that is a more detailed response that I have ever managed to get electronically or by speaking to a Tier 2.  I am particularly interested in the "contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information" statement.  Any idea what this might be referring to?  If I were to call and speak to a Tier 2 officer and were told that they had to refer my case to another agency for further review, that would indeed be alarming but at the very least I would have a logical explanation as to what was causing the delay.  If my government sees something concerning in the information that I have provided regarding my fiancee, then I appreciate their diligence in protecting me and the security of our great nation but at least tell me that that is what is actually going on.  I would then resign myself to just sitting back and letting the process work.  I think a lot of frustration is derived from the utter lack of useful information when calling or submitting a case inquiry.  With today's technology, one would think a lot of this information would be logged electronically and could be harmlessly shared with petitioners without unnecessarily burdening an actual individual by needlessly fielding phone calls from desperate and confused people.  Just my thoughts.....

Here is what I've seen

Some get lucky when they call most dont

Some get lucky via apps most dont

Some get lucky via website most dont

Most get lucky via mail.

Some get response within 100 days some within 120 days some within 200 days.

There is nothing we can do to speed up the process.

So we all have to take the seat on the waiting train and see which stop we get off at.

None of this is easy.  And it is always going to change.  So the best plan is get comfy in your seat, enjoy the ride and the moments you have with your SO.  Get up, go to work, spend time with family and friends, keep busy.  The train will stop at your stop regardless.

And yes I'm aware the train has ran over alot of peoples patience but that's when you look back on the memories.  Everything that has got you where you are right now and what the future holds.

Well said! 🚂🚂🚂

Can't remember exactly where but that's where it came from. Did this come from an electronic case inquiry?  No The reason I am asking, is that is a more detailed response that I have ever managed to get electronically or by speaking to a Tier 2.  I am particularly interested in the "contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information" statement.  Any idea what this might be referring to? If you kindly return to the first post in this thread you will see where I have, in detail, shared with you what is going on.   If I were to call and speak to a Tier 2 officer and were told that they had to refer my case to another agency for further review, that would indeed be alarming but at the very least I would have a logical explanation as to what was causing the delay. The whole process is set up so none of the agency's have to explain anything because what happens is they spend time explaining only to have someone start to argue or whine. Once that starts then it all down hill from there. It's a big waste of time on their part. SHINNING example is look at the discussion that has already ensued here in this thread.

Let me add this. They never promised you that they would complete your case adjudication on any certain date. Not USCIS, Not NVC and NOT the embassy. So yes, regardless of what information you are privy to see that's all your going to get. Just saying.

My apologies.  I was not trying to argue or whine but I can see how it might be construed that way.   I certainly did not intend to initiate a conversation that would constitute a "big waste of time."  I understand that the USCIS does not have time to explain everything.  I was only suggesting that perhaps with today's technology that a lot of this helpful information in regards to where you are along the process could be made available through a more detailed unmanned case status website/app which would drastically reduce the number of phone calls and case status inquiries.

Please feel free to have the moderator remove this and my previous post as I did not mean to de-rail the thread.  I will refrain from future comment and keep my thoughts to myself.

Look, I  don't sugar coat my posts. I tell it like I see it. My reference to whining fits many and not necessarily you. There are some here who post a " post" everyday after they called and didn't get the answer they wanted. They are ones who need to read our discussion.  The exchanging of ideas is good as thats how we learn. Sometimes my answers are not necessarily pointed at you as much as the group. I hope you understand.

Keep the discussion alive.
