Hi all. I am waiting for CR-1 interview for Montreal consulate since January 2019. Its already been 5 months that my case got documentarily complete at NVC and every time I call NVC they just reply same thing "Case is complete and there is no interview scheduled". I don't know why its taking so long for them to schedule an interview for me however, I have seen people who got Case Complete after me getting their interviews done. I don't know what to do? And whom to contact?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's taking so long because there is a backlog.  This is common in Montreal.  You wait.  Whether you do so patiently or not, is your choice.

Yes there is but last time when I spoke with a representative from NVC then he told me that the reply would be the same what he is telling me.

But I think you should still submit the online inquiry despite what they told you over the phone. Maybe they take that more seriously and look more in depth into your case.

I think it was here at visajourney that I read someone had submitted a document that was showing on his CEAC but not on the NVC side...something like that....maybe your situation is something similar!

For me case is showing complete on CEAC and also on NVC side.

I've also been waiting for interview to be scheduled at Montreal since early Feb (case complete)

My category is different... F2B. My priority date has been current since Mar.

I've just submitted a request to local Congressman & Senator asking for support. I read about doing something like that here and figured it couldn't hurt. Both have been supportive and engaging so far, but have added they will likely not be able to support with interview scheduling delays at the consulate level.

Good luck to any of you in a similar scenario.

Then why would others on this very forum, with CC's AFTER him, be all done? I've seen at least one profile who had CC in mid March and was DONE by mid May. So no, there's more to this.

Some "why questions" just don't have answers.  That's real life.

Sir, your original response to him was completely irrelevant to what he said.

Now you're just being patronizing. You have no idea what any of us have been through, so we don't need "to be spoken down to about "real life". Give me a break.

No, he is telling the truth. Approvals can happen at any time and some people after you may get approved before you. That is the way of life.
