and @Nicole567: hi there my fellow Charlotte folks! My case changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" within a week after my biometrics but tbh, i wouldn't worry about it too much as mine hasn't changed since then. Not sure how slow our Charlotte field office is either, though.

Charlotte folk too. When was your biometric appointment?

I first missed my first appointment schedules for May 25th because uscis put my address wrongly on file, couldn't get any notification till I spoke to tier 2 after interview date already passed. Was rescheduled for June 19th but did a walk in yesterday after I called back when i couldn't receive 2nd appointment notice, spoke to tier 2 again,  it was sent directly to my email immediately on monday.

We received our Biometrics appointment letter in the mail after the scheduled date of the appointment, so we missed it. Tried calling yesterday afternoon and their system was down so they couldn’t help us. The lady said when the system works they will have to submit a letter to my field office and they will accept or reject it and give us a notification within 30days if we get a new appointment. I know there was someone else on this thread that went through something similar. Is there another way to push through this? Little bit frustrating since this wasn’t our fault. His name is on our mailing box.

I also asked about walk-in and was told our particular field office doesn’t accept walk-ins. Our office is Ft. Smith, AR.

I think you should just take the letter and go to the service center anyways. They usually allow walk ins before your appt date, so it’s worth trying to go after. I think you’ll be ok. It doesn’t make sense to wait 30 days and hold up the entire process.

Thanks all. I finally spoke with a Tier 2 and our date is rescheduled for the 3rd of July. If we get the opportunity to do a walk-in before that date we are definitely going to try!

Hi everyone!

I'm adjusting from F1.

My received date is 04/15.

Ready to schedule interview since 06/07.

I have a question: My husband filed I-130 in December, so my AOS NOA shows 12/10/18 as Priority Date, and 04/15/19 as Received Date.

Do you know if the priority date means anything in family-based applications?

04/15/19: Received date

05/15/19: Biometrics done

06/07/19: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

03/19/20: Interview cancelled due to Covid

09/04/2020: Interview date

10/22/2020: I-130 approval

10/30/2020: I-485 approval

The PD in your case should be the same as the RD. I don't know if that is a problem though. I would do some research and see if anyone here had the same problem.

From what I know PD is relevant only for family-based applications in which a visa is not immediately available (such as for brother and sisters of USC).
