House Dems overwhelmingly reject motion to condemn illegal immigrant voting

I just cant get my head around, how the Dems keep supporting illegal immigration.

We need to make sure that illegal immigrants voting is stopped and everyone should support the measure, IMO. Legal immigrants have to become citizens before they can vote in a national election. Why should an illegal be able to the same?

The left gets a little power and it goes to their head making them show their true colors. First they reject a bill banning full term abortion (even though for years they have told us they oppose full term abortion). Now they endorse illegal aliens voting. Wonder what's coming next. A complete gun ban passing the House only to go nowhere?

The fact of the matter is that illegal aliens should never be allowed to vote. I don’t  know how anyone can support this. I truly believe the Democrats want this because they know that they will receive at least 80% to 90% of those votes.  This is absolutely crazy!

Agreed...I might be wrong but, wouldn't this require a Constitutional amendment? I'm pretty sure this isn't just something you can pass that easily (I hope).

Trump is very anti Illegal alien, so the dems now are in love with Illegal aliens

If you take a step back and think what would need to be done and then look at what the Politicians say and do then you realise none of them are interested in a solution. They use it is a political tool.

 

Trump and the Wall would be a small part, but just a small part. What the Dems want I have no idea, they want good paying jobs, well an unlimited supply of cheap labour does not match, they want a GND but no restriction on population growth does not compute.

 

So both have no real interest in any of this, they all want power.

  So why didn't the Republicans do it? They had 2 years and they had to know that there is historically a big swing in the house at midterm. You would think there would have been that sense of urgency if they really wanted to get it done.

Same reason the Dems did not bring in Amnesty or real Health Care reform.

I truly believe Trump wants to fix the problem, then offer amnesty to those already here. I would be ok with that if we fixed it once and for good

why didnt they do anything for those 2 years. Its like once they got the white house, they stopped trying

That was a bit mean, it was I guess a reaction to all the ####### I have been reading and watching from people who should know better, it is their job after all and we are just keyboard warriors.

 

Let us consider what has happened, apparently 700,000 people overstayed their visa's in 2017 but you will here complaint after complaint on this site how difficult it is to get a visa and how people are unfairly refused.

 

Then you have those entering otherwise which seems to be a Million who really knows.

 

Actually even those numbers are not that significant it is the cumulative effect.

 

Years ago it was single men seemingly who might come seasonally, then they stayed and now it appears mostly families applying for Asylum. Using some of the stretched Asylum definitions I have seen I think I could put together an Asylum claim for myself, which is stupid.

 

So in conclusion anything happening, it has not so far why would it change. Nor do I see any suggestion that what would need to be done to have a fix once and for good,the changes needed would be massive, ever happening.
