Patriots owner Robert Kraft arrested in prostitution sting in Florida

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is one of dozens of men being investigated as part of an expansive prostitution solicitation sweep in Jupiter, Florida.

Kraft was charged Friday on two counts of soliciting prostitutes, police announced.

it's not usually between two consenting adults, the number of women coerced through fear, drugs or violence is staggering, they are not agreeable partners. My daughter does work with human trafficking victims, it is staggering the number of girls lured through a variety of methods into giving up free will and engaging in prostitution

This wasn't between consenting adults. These women were basically shipped here and sold as sex slaves.

I've looked at some of the charging documents and from what I've gathered online from local investigative reporters:

 

women were from Asian countries, either told they had visas to work or used some service that promised them work visas (it was all a lie). they were sold as sex slaves and were forced to work in the brothel (the front was a 'day spa'). this is part of a larger sex trafficking sting going on in that part of Florida. all these women got here somehow either on visas obtained via fraud or false documents. cops had been watching this place for months... and they have video evidence.

 

when I first heard this I thought ''oh he must have been caught drunkenly soliciting in a back alley''... but no.

A new "massage parlor" opened just down from my office.  Seems these (also Asian) girls are outgoing, hard working, VERY friendly girls and show no signs of being sex slaves.  I'll bet they are making good money!

So why would the go after the Johns, Instead of the people who brought them here?

 

The police are ok with letting them solicit sex and to being sex slaves and then only want to arrest the Johns?

Not all the charging documents are out. I'm very sure the rest of the individuals will be caught up, as is typical. I also haven't heard if some of these ladies are underage, but it's very possible. Why go after Johns? Because prostitution is illegal, and they are knowingly and willingly breaking the law. I don't care who they are or how much money they make.

From what I have seen with rings that bring in sex workers via immigration is they are closed down, not left open to for business as usual

 

I don't understand why it is illegal.  A few weeks ago I went to club in Dallas where the girls are all nude, You bring in your own liquor and they sell cokes/ice etc.  The girls all were offering dances in the back room, the signs said $25 for topless private dance, $30 for nude private dance.

 

I didn't go back but I am sure there was stuff going on once you got back in the private rooms

Try this article. Some of the  brothel owners were also nabbed.
