Why not go after prostitutes who are taking advantage of the Johns and taking their money?  Why do women sell their bodies if it's illegal?

I don't understand why it is illegal.  A few weeks ago I went to club in Dallas where the girls are all nude, You bring in your own liquor and they sell cokes/ice etc.  The girls all were offering dances in the back room, the signs said $25 for topless private dance, $30 for nude private dance.

 

I didn't go back but I am sure there was stuff going on once you got back in the private rooms

 

I'm sorry you don't like the law or understand why it is illegal.  Your assumption of ''stuff going on in the back'' doesn't make that stuff, real or alleged - legal.

I think Randy said it best earlier you know? Some women don't have a choice. Some are in destitute situations. Some are sold. Some are addicts. Some are abandoned. Some are kids. These are some of the long standing reasons. That's not meaning a stripper that does 'legal work', though I find the practice is equally as exploitative in many cases. In a perfect world, and in many libertarian's minds that support the legalization - they'd want it to be an extremely regulated practice that would hopefully make it healthier and safer for everyone involved, but they've yet to address how they could ensure that abuse and exploitation still does not happen.

 

In the city prostitutes were everywhere, and I still remember the day one staggered through our street, and she had been badly assaulted. She couldn't go to anyone for help because she feared arrest. Take a drive out of the woods here and out by the main highway, and you'll see prostitutes frequently. Many of these women are severely drug addicted, as we have a severe problem with that here. They have no education and no money. There have been some instances where drug addicted parents have forced their children into prostitution. And lately, we've had women from Asia sex trafficked through this area as sex slaves - also working in 'spas' and one of the numerous truck stops.

From what I have read he hasn't been arrested, just charged.   Sounds like your typical rub and tug establishment

But in my limited experience with prostitutes,  the police KNOW who they are, where they work, and what they are doing,  yet unless they are a witness to a crime, they are left alone to continue their business.
