I've spoken to tier 2, I was told that the case is still being reviewed and that I'm within the normal processing times. I'll call again in 2 weeks.

On a side note, I checked the "issue social security number" box when I applied for EAD, do they normally send the card with the ssn or is that a whole separate process with additional waiting time? I've read on here that sometimes people don't get the ss card and still have to personally go to a ssa office to apply.

They do once EAD is approved. If you have got EAD,  but havent received SSN for a month +, call SS and ask them whats up

How often can I make an inquiry? My case for the EAD is out of processing time and I made an inquiry online. I've got an email that says USCIS will reply by August 26 however I've got an update on the egov site that says

"As of August 6, 2019, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR""""""""""""MSC, is currently not assigned for processing."

Why many people who filed way after me getting approved for the EAD? Tier2 told me on Monday that I have to wait becasue there is a line. What line are we talking about????

I am in the same situation. It has been 221 days since the receipt date, and I have not heard back from USCIS regarding either AOS or EAD, other than my fingerprint review was completed. I submitted a case inquiry on July 30th, as soon as I got to know about the new expected processing-time range for the I-765. In my egov USCIS account, I have the same message with regard to my submitted inquiry, which was not assigned yet, as of July 30th.
I called USCIS hot-line today. They told me I have to wait for 30 days to take further actions, although the instant automatic reply to my inquiry submission says I should expect a response by the 21st of August. Not to mention that another agent I talk to, on the day I submitted my inquiry, told me it would take 14 days to process it. There are so many versions out there. Their system is broken, and I am getting sick and tired of such a long wait.

I don’t know what to do. To see people who filed after me getting their EAD and their interview date makes me more frustrated and angry at the same time...

The generated email says that I should get a response by August 26. I’ll try to call them again then, however I spoke to a very rude Tier2 this Monday and she didn’t tell me any reasonable answer. She only said that I need to wait in the line. WHAT LINE???

I know the frustration. But I hope that anytime soon you will get an approval. You can try to call again and I believe you might be out of normal processing time. So stay strong. I pray that you get a good news soon. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞

Interview done!

At the beginning of July we recieved the news that our interview is scheduled for August 7th.

After a nervous month, we finally get there all prepared. Interview lasted in total for about 20 to 25 minutes. The officer was kind but not too chatty. Everything went smooth in the interview. Lots of yes & no questions. Went over the evidence we brought, and at the end she said that she would make a decision either that day or the next. She also added that everything looked to be in order, and even mentioned that we were well prepared.

I was very anxious for the rest of the day, but alas at 5pm the same day I got a text notification from the USCIS saying that my case for AOS is approved. I cannot express the relief that I felt and still feel. I keep going back to the site to doublecheck, but it looks like the result stands haha!

Funny thing is that we applied for an employment authorization with the aos, but it never got processed before the interview, so now my ead case is closed as I am receiving the green card before it.

So excited to apply for jobs and not worry about any of this for 2 years. I sincerely hope that everyone receives good news here ASAP.

Congratulations!!

My interview in on Friday coming but alas I've heard from the Visa Bulletin that AOS has retrogressed and likely will not receive the GC for a few months (assuming we are approved).

211 days and no EAD.  Submitted an inquire and spoke to a Tier2 who said that the information on the system in not correct, that the processing time is still up to 8.5 months.....

:(

Getting desperate.....
