Agreed about the people who aren't on VJ! Though it would be interesting to see how many people in the process are on here, because I can't imagine getting through this without this resource.

Additionally, the CEAC site still says "At NVC" for our case number, but I'm not sure at which point that updates to say "In Transit."

I'm just trying to stay on top of things because of issues we've had, and as of now it could easily be an entire year between NOA1 and POE for us.

It updates to "In Transit" when they hand your case over to DHL. If it hasn't changed by tomorrow with today's date I'd say your on the next shipment.

Hello everyone.. Im now officially posting here since we already received our noa2 approval notice dated 16 Jan 2019....

First question.. The validity means we have to complete the interview before the validity period expired?

thought about it as well.. when is your expiration date?

After being on hold for over an hour, I was told we finally have our case number (and invoice number). Really stoked! I wish everyone will get their case numbers soon!

Yes, even after I have an appointment scheduled, ill keep checking to see if there are any cancellations. It doesn't help that they only do K1 interviews on Thursdays now... 4-5 days out of a whole month for us.. lol..

I just went on ustraveldocs and I see now that the first available appt is 14 February so it seems that they update the online schedule when there are cancellations.

Just called NVC, they said that they haven't recived yet our case.
Our NOA2 - 5 Jan

I still don"t know our NVC progress if any, but this morning I created 'ustraveldoc' account to check on available dates for interview. It is our intention to schedule the interview on a specific day in late March so that fiance can come join me. So I had to know how much in advance shall I book. Can you imagine their nearest slot is January 31st! Even if our case hasn't yet reached the NVC, it really doesn't matter for us. Whoever is in a hurry may get their interview fast indeed. I don't think the situation for Ukraine is going to change

I think it’s something they are trying. There’s not way there were 157 cancellations. I think they are holding certain dates until a certain time or soemthing. At first I thought it was cancellations too. But then I saw that it was 157 slots.

thank you for sharing this good news!

i can't say that i am in hurry with interview, but I haven't seen my fiance so long time and wish to meet his as soon as possible.

That's why i can't wait our case number and do medical exam at a time when our case will be moving to  the embassy

Medical will be easy, I spoke to Medicom and they are willing to help. They are not booked at all and you may book soon or late as you wish, as soon as you have your case number. If you want to do medical and interview in one week, you can do it or they will keep your results as reasonably long as you wish.

Did you guys get an email from NVC?

We haven't gotten any email notifications from NVC, only responses to inquiries. I've given them our email addresses using the Ask NVC form, but still no email notifications from them.

Yeah totally understand. Do you guys have a wedding booked? We booked ours already, but it's not until October

Luckily neither of us want to have a wedding ceremony, so we're free to get married at any time! We'll probably have a reception-type party with family and friends when his family is able to come over to visit us, which should be shortly after we get married ❤️

So me and my fiance got our NOA2 Jan 8th. He is originally from Latvia but currently lives in the UK and has lived there for 6 months now. I am wondering which embassy they will send our case to the one in UK or the one in Riga Latvia? Or is that  something for us to decide? I figured once the NVC receives our case they would give us that information but just curious if anybody else is in a similar situation? I will be calling the NVC to get our case number probably next Tuesday I think that should be enough time for them to have it by then.

I've seen on this thread that petitions get mailed to NVC every 2 weeks, and that the next one will be February 5th.

I called USCIS to ask if my petition was mailed to NVC  ( NOA2: JAn 22) and she said no. So I'm guessing that means it'll ship on February 5th?

Also, how can some of you see available appointment dates? Don't you need NVC case number for that ??

Those shipments everyone is referring to are when NVC sends them to the Embassies. As for the appointment dates, if you go to www.ustraveldocs.com and login, or create an account if you don't have one. Once you choose your country it will show the next available appointment. I don't think you can see specific dates beyond the next available unless you've already paid your visa fee.
