Administrative action has been applied against a member's account for violating these provisions of the site's Terms of Service:

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

My status changed to Ready to Schedule an Interview for my I-751. Boo, I was hoping to get approval without one like apparently everyone else. Oh well, we'll see when the offices are allowed to reopen again. I guess some movement is better than none.

Did you have an interview earlier while AOS process?

Congrats to all the newly approved cases and those with movement! 

 

My wife and stepsons are on 14 1/2 mos. as of today. I was hoping we'd hear something soon but given the current state (due to COVID-19) who knows how much longer it will be :) 

 

Extension letter expires late July this year and definitely hoping we hear back by then.

Hi, everyone. Congratulations to everyone, who got approval and card!

 

I got a RFE in February and just sent it the other day. I see a lot of people approved without an interview. I’m not sure if they were requesting more evidence, trying to skip the interview with us too. At least that’s the hope. I won’t be applying for citizenship even though I’m able to, because honestly I sent everything we have as evidence. I have nothing else to send with the citizenships application so I suppose I’ll wait it out for the 5-year rule.

Hello all. Haven't been here in a while and need to catch up with all the messages. Just came to update that some movement on our case as of March 11th. Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview as per checking online. We haven't received any notifications via the mail though and I'm wondering WHEN would an interview possibly take place in the situation we're in. 

1/17/2019.........Mailed ROC package via USPS, two day shipping to Dallas, TX

1/19/2019........Package delivered

1/22/19............Case Received

1/28/2019........Received text from USCIS with case received information and receipt number

1/28/2019........Bank check was cashed 

3/4/2019..........Submitted e-request for non-delivery of receipt notice

3/15/2019........Received email confirmation that a duplicate receipt was in its way

3/23/2019.........Received 18 month extension letter in the mail

7/5/2019...........Biometrics completed

3/11/2020........Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview Status Online. As of 4/13 we have not received any notifications

All interviews that were scheduled for April were cancelled. I am guessing that those would be the first interviews after the field offices re-open. Your interview would probably be at least a month after offices re-open, but if you have not also filed your N-400 for citizenship, then there is a chance that you could get approved without an interview. That seems to be happening some recently, probably to help prevent a huge backlog of interviews.

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know. We decided not to file for citizenship yet as we applied for my stepdaughter's immigration/green card (she lives in Brazil currently). We felt like having 3 cases running at the same time would be incredibly overwhelming. My step daughter's case was just approved last week (we applied in October) and now we're on to NVC to schedule her interview. Pretty sure that interview won't be happening until well into the summer. 

 

Do you think things might move faster if we apply for citizenship? We were told an ROC approval would still be needed even if we applied for citizenship.

Just an update on our ROC status. We are SRC filers in Texas and today we received an email stating that our case has been transferred. We have not filed for citizenship. The email says we will receive a notice explaining why our case was transferred. We are assuming the transfer explanation notice will be mailed. (Our timeline should be visible with questions about our filing dates.)

Anyone with similar situation?
