Its possible, we certainly selected the right reason for needing the document which was immigration purposes. I don't remember offhand seeing anything redacted on the document either.

I just tried it after selecting "Immigration" and it still looks exactly the same...

The transcripts that I got show both my spouse's and my full name and SSNs. Nothing was hidden or redacted. I never ordered anything with the IRS, just always downloaded from the website and never had any issues. I did my I-485, N-400, sponsored my mom, all that way.

I wonder why it's different for me. Was this a long time ago that you did this or recently?

I don't know, but my N-400 interview was May 2017 and I had the transcripts with me. I filed for my mom and submitted all the tax stuff around Mar-April this year, so recently. I had my 2017 transcript when I filed for mom.

Seems like there is a difference, for whatever reason, between Transcripts, printed on-line and those, requested from IRS via mail.

I've received ours, recently, for last 4 year, by mail - all 9 digits of our SS#s, full names, address and etc. All info is there. but If i get them printed from the IRS Website - only 4 last digits of SS#s and so on...

I just called the IRS to see if I could talk to a representative to find out why I haven't received the mailed version yet, doesn't seem to give the option to talk to a live person....so I reordered the transcripts for 2015-2017 again through the automated service and once again it says i'll get them in 5-10 business days... we'll see:rolleyes:

Just so you know, one of my tax years also downloads with only partial information showing, just as you described. The other years have my full info. Don't know why it's like that, but it's not just you! I submitted it the way it was presented to me. Don't worry about it.

Umm... I called IRS and had them FAX my tax transcripts TWICE and the FAXED it while I was on the phone.

1. Tax transcript for myself during NVC process

2. Tax transcript for my friend (joint sponsor) AFTER the interview.

I didn’t pay a cent and for received them instantly. 🙄

I didn't pay a cent either and also got mine instantly when downloading them from irs.gov. My concerns were that the transcripts only have partial identifying info for me (see my OP) and the appearance of the transcripts looked rather plain as if I could've created them myself and I wondered if this made a difference to the NVC.

I am not certain on this but when I was talking to an agent, she said what type of transcript I needed. I said it’s for NVC, then she said, so you need to the with every information and faxed me what I needed. I sent the faxed transcript to NVC and found no issue. I’m not tax expert so... That’s all I know. 😛

If these transcripts were downloaded from the IRS websites, they yes, they will accept them.

I printed my transcripts online and it shows only partial name and SS#, will NVC  accept these transcripts.

Hey everyone I wanted to ask about this as well I’m on this step too IRS has this glossary just want to confirm which one are we printing? The drop down I selected employement verification.- thanks

Glossary

Return Transcript

Tax Return Transcripts show most line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. This transcript does not reflect any changes you, your representative or the IRS made after you filed your return. In many cases, a Return Transcript will meet the requirements of lending institutions offering mortgages and student loans.

Record of Account Transcript

Record of Account Transcripts combine the information from tax account and tax return transcripts.

Account Transcript

Tax Account Transcripts provide any adjustments either you or we made after you filed your return. This transcript shows basic data, including marital status, type of return filed, adjusted gross income and taxable income.

Wage & Income Transcript

Wage and Income Transcripts show data from information returns, such as W-2s, 1099s and 1098s, reported to the IRS. Most recent year information may not be complete until July.

I'm pretty sure I selected "immigration" as my reason for needing my transcripts. I had sent for mine by mail, but was impatient and downloaded them as well. Both look the same.  They cost nothing and mine have my full name, SSN#, and address.
