Officially joining this group! We’re sending the packet tomorrow.

Do I need to send a copy of my old and new passport (beneficiary)? I have been in the US 3-4 times, for work and visiting my boyfriend. I have 3 previously issued US visas which are on my old passport.

No need. Just the petitioner’s. 😊 But when you write how you met you can include there that you visited your fiancé in the US for couple of times.

Right, your stamped passport might serve to reaffirm your bona fides but it is petitioner (your boyfriend) who need to include some proof of him being US Citizen. Don't forget to create a time line once you send the packet out. Only about a week left for folks to get on August train. Then it will long and sleep ride until February.

Lucy&Jason I am sorry you still do not have your NOA2 yet.

Hello,

I sent via UPS our package on August 20, and now it is stuck at customs since the 23.

Some people say it's maybe because there is a problem with the package, some just say it's normal and just wait...

So https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do gives me the date of Aug 8 for when the document was received (I still do not have hard copy of I-797) but https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant shows the date of Aug 13 (5 days later)

Now I wonder what date I should've put on my NOA1.

Packet was delivered on Aug 9th at 4:26 am???? according to USPS tracking.

13 August whatever on website case status shows

You need to make a photocopy of visas and send with evidence :)  After you will need to keep your old passport for interview just Incase

Shiran,

I just received my hard copy I-797 today (and we have the exact same timeline so far) so I think you can be expecting yours soon!

I consider my NOA1 Aug 13, it seems like that's the date most are using.

Yes  so far I track this month  and we are 5 to 7 people who are on same date  so sounds fun

My understanding the date to look for not when they "received" it but when they send a receipt, at least on paper copy. This is what message on "new" (https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant) website looks like for me.

If you see fancy fonts with word "my case was received" in cursive, you are looking at "old" site and the date you see there is when case was "received" not when the NOA1 date (which is date when receipt was sent back to you)
