Our approval notice letter is dated 07/02, although the new site shows approval 07/03. Would it be ok to call some stage later next week for a case number? We are thinking of ringing next Friday to maybe try...

I’m just not sure what is an acceptable amount of time.

Thanks guys! ☺️

Hey jakejon! I was wondering if you could tell me when did you receive your NOA2 letter in the mail? My approval on the new site is July 12. Should it take around a week to receive a hard copy? Thanks for your help!

Congratulations on your approval!!

Ours was a weird one. Our approval letter says we were approved on 07/02 but the new site didn’t update until 07/07 and says we were updated on 07/03 (so probably computer IT issues). I’m down with the date on our approval letter. Old site still has not updated and hey it says we hit 200 days today-same as yourself as you have same filing dates as us!!! I count us lucky getting approval in 185 days.

We got our approval letter on Monday, so took about a week.

On the day we got approved I remember I woke up at 5am and randomly checked the new site. Nearly feel out of bed when I seen them lovely words ‘approval’ haha. Enjoy and hope you celebrate completion at overcoming the biggest hurdle 🎉

NOA2 is July 10th 😊. I think it wont be so bad. We can pretty much get almost everything done in abuja (medical, police clearance) and then just have the interview in lagos. Are u abuja based?

Wow, we have same approval date. No I'm based in Delta state due to work but my siblings are Abuja based.

I never knew we could have the medical and police clearance done in Abuja. I thought everything has to be done in Lagos.

Thanks for this information.

For those who got their noa 2 in July, when was your NOA 1 date?

It's crazy that there is no notification.  I kept reading about new site/old site.  I didn't know I was checking the old site for updates.  I made an account last night to find this.  Color me surprised.

@TogoAfrica I have no clue at this point.  There are so many dates around the same time with new and old websites.  My fiancee has the original document now in Brazil.  I originally got a message saying Jan 10 and then the 16th.  When I created an account on the new site I saw the 12th. I believe Dallas Lockbox received on 10th and transferred to CSC on the 16th. Either way its within a few days of all one of those dates =)

Congratulations on your approval! I just wanted to share with you the link to the Minneapolis Field Office AOS thread. We keep an ongoing list of members with currently pending AOS cases. I took the liberty of adding your username to the list. It's at the bottom since you have not filed for AOS yet.

All the best,

Hi everyone, Just going through the DS-160 and feeling very overwhelmed seeing the section about previous US travel. I was a student in the US on and off for 9 years, and had a work permit after that. Last summer I entered and exited the US once a week for 4 months because I worked on a cruise ship...Does anyone know how much of my US travel history I'm supposed to fill out on this form?

Give them the last 5 years. If they need more you'll hear from the CO at your interview. I don't think it will be a problem. Most relationships between a Canadian and an American are recognized to have taken many trips back and forth. Of course that doesn't hold true for Trudeau and Trump. :jest:

You have hit the nail on the head with your statement that there is too many dates. I for one will be glad when Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb filers move on because it's driving me nuts; everyone trying to figure out what date to use and why is this date this way, and the new website is this and the old website is that. Folks it doesn't matter! There is no test on this topic. Sorry, I used your post to rant. To sum it up using your words "Either way its within a few days of all one of those dates =)". I love a realist.

Thanks! Thought maybe I could get away with just listing some of the trips...since I'm a musician who travels a lot I probably have about 30 separate entries to make for those 5 years...maybe I'll manage to crash the DS-160 :P Good thing I decided to do the form while I'm waiting for a NVC number! I'd better hold off from commenting on the Trump/Trudeau drama lol. I'll just leave it at #sad
