The questions same though if you did not meet within 2 years right before the petition was filed, none of this would help.

I’m sorry I thought I did. Yes we did :)

Ok then find and include evidence for that period.

if you give the exact wording your rfe used, because it should have what they want in more detail, people can give you better examples. Each case differs extremely, so right now we just assumed on a couple living long distance and examples given to you are mostly based on that.

you may actually have something specific they want from you. Or a better evidence that neither you nor us realized yet.

If you want help, then answer the question that everyone is asking you.  This has gone on for 2 pages.  People are not going to help you if aren't willing to participate.

Did you meet face-to face within the 2 years before filing the I-129F.

You being together this past weekend is irrelevant.

I thought I replied, I’m sorry for any confusion. I appreciate everyone’s help immensely , even if I can’t reapond right away as I am at work.

And I did answer, yes we did meet face to face within 2 years before filing the I-129F

Great! They are just wanting proof of that meeting(s) during that time frame. Pictures and emails are not proof. Passport stamps, boarding passes (not just receipts), and other "official" documentation placing you both in the same area at the same time helps.

I should have specified that the letter hasn’t arrived yet- I checked on the USCIS website and it let me know that the RFE letter is on its way. So once I get the letter, it’ll tell me the specifics. I probably should have waited to ask questions.

It's a little odd.  If you sent evidence of meeting and you both signed letters of intent to marry , I'm not sure what else they want to,  please let us know what the letter says.

An unrelated topic has been split from this thread, moved to the Embassy/Consulate forum, and given the title "Interview Evidence Not Enough, What to Provide?  [split topic]."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thank you! Yes I’m pretty sure we provided some boarding passes and other documentation. So we’ll see!

Yes we’ve met over 2 years ago. I haven’t received the letter- I just checked the case status site and it said that letter is on the way. So yes I suppose I have to wait until it arrives saying  what they specifically want. Thank you!

If you met OVER TWO YEARS AGO you must meet again.  The one on one meeting has to occur within 2 years of filing.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps talking about relationship evidence if you haven't received the RFE yet. It could literally be that you got got to check one of the boxes on the I-129f. Any evidence of relationship from after the date you filed you 129f is useless as evidence for you 129f. Useful for the actual visa application but useless towards approval of the 129f. If it is relationship evidence they ask for it would just be evidence of actually meeting in person for at least 1 second in the 2 years leading up to the filing of the 129f. No chat logs no love stories just hard evidence of being in the same place at the same time. It is important to remember the difference between the 129f and the visa application because they are not the same thing. Moral of the story is whatever they ask for on the RFE will probably be ridiculously simple and possibly for something you already sent them which happens often. No way to know until you get it.

Hey!

so our petition was received and they are asking for more evidence. If we’ve already provided pictures and emails, etc. for the petition, whats best to send them for more evidence? Updated pictures and emails?

Send in airline tickets...boarding passes.

Pictures are good but what they want to see is PROOF y'all have met in person. Pictures can be photoshopped (not implying yours are just in their eyes). I sent in all airline tickets since we started dating (it was a lot), copies of every single page of my fiance's passport because he visited me like 8 times I only visited him once and pictures.

Because of the first post I thought they had the rfe to tell the truth.. So now I just think the rfe will be for something really silly.. forgotten checkboxes etc..
