Took the oath and finally becomes a US citizen. Where do you get appointment for applying US passport? I checked a few nearby USPS locations online. No appointments available in the next 4 weeks.

You can only book 4 weeks ahead, but it' interesting how all appointments are being taken. I do not know when people book their times. At 12 am? For all locations? No appointments within 60 miles here. Still waiting for interview anyway.

Try to walk in to your preferred post office and ask for an appointment in person. They will look it up and check in their computer system. This is how we booked an appointment for our son. Online it seemed it was all booked for the next 2 months.... but it turns out it was not...! Their system is weird. If you don't get an appointment, try another post office in the area, until you succeed.

There is availability in north-west / south-west areas, very far away from Seattle. I might try those areas if no availability in Seattle area after my wife finishes the naturalization.

Do you mind sharing which zip code do you use? I tried down to Tacoma, and no luck. I do not mind going far with something. Yesterday, I found appointment at Kitsap county clerk office, but this is 3 months from now.

Once parents get naturalization certificate they can apply for their usa passports, how about for their minor kids  born outside usa (U.S. Citizenship through Naturalization of a Parent)? I was reading online to apply for kids you would require parents naturalization certificate. If parents are applying passport at the same time as kid, would they accept documents together or parents need to apply and then wait for naturalization certificate to come back and then re-apply for kid?

I'm nervous now about Portland not offering same day oath. Has anyone with a Portland date called and asked yet? Thus far I believe we're the first ones on here with a Portland interview (5/19). If they don't offer same day oath, how does that work? We have to go back a few days/weeks later or what? Not sure what the normal protocol is.

I have my interview at Portland on May 24,2021 can you please share your interview experience and if they will offer same day oath. Good luck

Yes! His appointment is at 10:55am tomorrow in Portland. I will make sure to come back and update on how it went and if same day oath was offered, here's to hoping it is! Thank you!!
