I am working on AOS paperwork 😬 and am wondering do we pay a separate fee to apply for AP? Thank you! 😊

No. If you file for AP (I-131) and EAD (I-765) at the same time as your AOS, there is no separate filing fee - you just pay the I-485 filing fee (plus biometric fee), and submit the AP & EAD paperwork along with your I-485 paperwork.

I hate knowing we need to submit the I-751 in November 2020 and N-400 in November 2021. Just want to submit the damned paperwork now and never think about this process again.

Nothing to worry about, I just want to get these tasks over with.

Hi K1 filers! Hope y'all are doing well.

Just want to share that I finally got my Permanent Resident card today! The officer that interviewed us in May said that USCIS had a mistake of assigning two alien numbers to me so they told me that the processing after our interview would be extended to 6-8 weeks. (Anyone here who had the same issue???) After 8 weeks, we did not hear from them. Come 10 weeks, I submitted a case inquiry but still did not hear from them 3 weeks after that. I was worried because I might be suspended from work. HR was asking me to update my I-9 since my EAD is gonna expire on Sept 12. Finally, they sent me a notification on August 17 and it was on mail today! So happy to be almost done with this. The next paper to process (Lifting of Conditions) is gonna be more than a year from now.

Now I also have to go to DPS so that they can extend the expiry of my driver's license. And also the SSN!

Hello everyone.

Wow, not been here since May. Jeez. I'm sorry.

Things are still mega poo. Every day is a walk on eggshells. I'm pretty sure he is a sociopath so my emotions mean nothing nor recognised.

My wedding anniversary was spent being abandoned in a Walmart after he stormed off out when I questioned if he was having a sugar crash during a grocery shop. My birthday was pretty much ignored and did nothing... Not even a card.

I'm still an emotional punchbag and get grief for not being happy or "loving" towards him. My life is "pointless and meaningless". 🙄 I feel empty and like I have nothing now. Apart from Ed. I'm so glad I brought my cat. She's definitely kept me sane.

So, I'm looking to go back. I have no reason to stay here anymore. It's terrible really. His family even sat down with me and have noticed how ####### things have been with his behaviour towards me and everyone. This has been a huge waste of time and money for me.

My question is, what do I do with regards to divorce/if I'm eligible for annulment?

Can I return to the USA for vacations later on?

I'm super happy for all of you guys though. Really happy that you guys have found your happiness. 💜
