It was very fast and professional. We actually showed up an hour before our appointment, and were finished 15 minutes later.

Thanks for your answer. My appointment was at 8am. It was fast too.

To pp who are going to have the biometrics appointment

- They will take your fingerprints and a picture of you. If you are a women you can wear light make up, it is allow. I also suggest dressing up like you go for a job interview if you want a good looking photo.

- If you change your name, bring a copy of your marriage certificate in case they ask.

I had my appointment at 1222 Spruce Street, St Louis. No parking on site, you park near the building tho, parking fee was almost 9USD.

If you guys have question, feel free to ask me.

Good luck to everyone

My husband hasn't yet, but should be getting close - his AOS NOA1 was March 19th, so we're nearing the 5-month mark.  Since we expect to be waiting 1-2 years for a GC interview at our local office, EAD/AP can't come soon enough...

Why 1-2 years?? We just got our interview scheduled for Oct 10th and didn't file until July.

Processing times at local field offices can vary a lot. Having said that, at least according to VJ stats, St. Louis isn't a lot slower than Indianapolis.

Oh, to be at a non-backlogged local office...

Minneapolis-St. Paul is one of the slowest in the U.S.  People who filed in summer 2017 are just getting interviews now, so we've got a long way to go (if we don't end up moving, of course).

Yes, there are so many words that could be appropriate!! Unbelievable that it took this long for an RFE 😦

Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone has a shared similar experience or knows of someone in a similar situation.

We filed back in June 2017, have been waiting super long for each and every step as compared to others.

Finally we were sent an email from the embassy in Tirana, Albania to send in my fiancee's passport which we did. It was received on June 18th. Fast forward to now and its approaching 2 months since her passport has been at the embassy.

We have only emailed the embassy once as we heard by word of mouth that they take a summer hiatus from Aug 15-Sept 2. When I emailed them I mentioned that on the ceac website our case said case created back in July and now its the end of August and there are no updates. I never received a reply, however I did recheck ceac website and saw that they added "last updated" and put August 29th, the same day I sent the email.

I am at my wits end because I was under the impression that once you send your passport, it would only take max a couple of weeks for them to return it to you with the visa in place.

Am I missing something here? Any suggestions on what our next step should be. Passport received July 18th. According to ceac, case created July 27th, last updated August 29th. Status says "application received."

Thanks in advance
