Just called NVC a couple of minutes ago and they assigned us a case number! NOA2 1/26! Now it's time to play ball!

Quick question , what kind of forms or documents does my fiancé need to take to the interview day ?

GOD

I thought we'd done the hard part by waiting for the NOA2, but NVC are being insufferable.

So we called a yesterday and they started asking security questions, so we're guessing they at least have our case! Great!
HOWEVER
Some dimwit at NVC has input my birthdate into the system incorrectly and now they won't tell us anything about it. We sent an email like they asked with a scan of my passport showing the right date (despite the fact that's in the i-129f anyway) and a request to have it rectified.
We called again today and they still haven't updated they case, and straight up refuse to left us talk to a supervisor because you apparently need to get through the security check to do that, which I'm pretty sure is BS. They're basically saying we have to wait until it gets to London and deal with it then, AND THE BIRTHDATE MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE BEEN CORRECTED. Meanwhile, I'm wasting time I could potentially be booking medicals and such.

Screw NVC.

Ok we got the notification that our case is in transit, but what does the “your interview date was provided to you by the NVC” mean?? Don’t we have to wait until the case gets to the Embassy, get packet 3 and then schedule the interview? We’ve already submitted our ds-160.

Also, does packet 3 come through e-mail or post?

thank you!!

I believe that's embassy specific. I know you're fiancé would need the Affadavit of Support form I-134, an updated Letter of Intent, additional evidence of your relationship, police report possibly, medical results (if the doctor doesn't send directly to the embassy), passport, ID card,  divorce certificate if divorced.. but again some of this is embassy specific, so I would go to your specific embassy's website to confirm! :)

Yeah, that sucks....on their mistake.

Did the security fail happen before you were able to get the Case number?

If so, try calling back until you get a sympathetic ear, they are there.  Try to get the Case Number.

You have your noa2....you're in....eventually it will play out and will be fastest to let it hit the embassy.  Don't get upset trying to chase it down.

Truth is....for most countries....you can't really do anything until it hits the embassy....you will be okay.

We have our case number....we started the ds160.....we have our papers gathered....we have our plan to execute the  medical and interview....we have our plan for POE and we have our schedule....and NVC still has our case....now 9 days.....so we wait....

Haha....we're all still waiting.

Hang in there....you'll be fine.

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what vaccines are needed or where I can find a list? Since we have some time while waiting for our NVC# , we wanted to get ahead and make sure we have them all before the medical interview.

Thanks!
