Try calling them and send an e-inquiry. We are also May 24 filers and first got an RFE and then approval right after calling the uscis. ✌️✌️Good luck!

There is no.point of e-quiry..and I honestly think that was just your luck..we called every week and sent inquiry a month ago, since 20 days ago we got response they are working on our case and still nothing

You might expect to wait longer than that. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks from my NOA2 date and still nothing from NVC.

I thought the NVC wait was the smoother wait, but I guess not:( If there was some movement, some consistency, that would be great. But there's nothing.

Hey,

Congrats on everything. I am a fellow Canadian and I was wondering, where did you pay the fee for the DS-160? Is there a link or after you completed the DS-160 you were directed to somewhere?

Thanks

Hey!! There is no fee for the DS-160.  Most people on VJ seem to recommend submitting that once your CEAC tracker (what you use after you have your NVC number) says "ready".  I submitted mine a week before it said "ready" as I was "in transit" for a week and NVC emailed my fiance our number and in that email it said I could go ahead and fill it out.  You can do the DS-160 at any time and as long as you log in every 30 days I think it is, it will save your info until you are ready to submit.

Your fee for the interview (I can't remember the exact amount but it was about $265 USD) you will pay via a link the embassy will provide in your packet 4 email. You can't schedule your interview until they tell you you can in packet 4.  In the link they will provide you will pay for your interview and book your interview at the same time.

Hope that helps and sorry If I am repeating info that you already know :)

Thank you so much. That makes a lot of sense! :)

However you have to wait for the "ready" sign for you to send the packet 3 right?

I haven't been following the thread much in the past month...but I am a May visa filer, NOA2 October 30. NVC STILL does not have our case and it has been 6 weeks....Is anyone else having this problem????

I called USCIS and they said to wait 90 days before they can be of any help...SOS

I called today and got same response. My NOA2 date is October 31. I asked him what if they don't get it by this week? He told me to send a copy of approval to nvcresearch email account.

People waiting for NVC to receive your case:

Has anyone filed an inquiry/complaint with his/her senator or representative? It will be 6 weeks for me on Thursday, so I'm looking into it, but my representatives require a release form to be hand signed.. I don't have stamps or envelopes on hand, so it's kind of a pain to do this actually. I'm not sure if I should go ahead and do it, or if I should just wait it out a little more to see if NVC gets my case... thoughts?

@RioMica @Trinab80 @TexanSoutherner I think we are all in the same boat. Over 200 days with no approval, RFE or anything. If that wasn't bad enough now we're looking at a long NVC wait. Some ppl are being told 90 days at NVC... 7 months at USCIS and then 3 months at NVC SMH this is ridiculous

Hope your approval is already on its way to your home in hard copy ✌️

Well, I say that also cause I saw dozens of cases in the April and May filers forums similar to ours.

The wait is horrible. And the worst part is that there's not much we can do to participate in the process, except calling tier 2, sending enquiries or contacting Senators. But at least you know you tried them all. We were ready to contact the Senator right before we got the approval notice.

Good luck!

Hi, May filers! Good luck to all waiting for there NOA2 and for the NVC numbers ✌️🤞✌️🤞✌️

We've just got our NOA2 hard copy

online approval notice - December 6

hard copy approval - December 5

I have a strong feeling a lot of filers should expect their hard copies these days without online update. I guess if my fiancé hadn't called we would have got the hard copy only.

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That's great! Congrats🎉 I've been following your posts and when you got RFE I thought "oh no! Really?!" But then when you got approved I was very happy for you)

Just a couple steps more and you guys can be together for the rest of your life)) 😊

We are so confused right now.. First we got approved on 7th of November but sadly the hard copy of noa2 was returned back to uscis then we got approved again 5th of December and we are 6 days waiting for our noa2. Does anyone had the same experience like me? We are currently waiting for nvc case number. I dont know what date to follow.

Some people had their cases reapproved again because USCIS sent their petition to NRC ( or something like that, cant remember) instead of NVC. So USCIS gave them a new approval date so they will have a later expiration date as well.
