Doggone it! It has to be over 30 days late before I can send a non delivery notice. You would have thought that it would have arrived in the mail at the same time as the Biometrics since they were both generated on the same day According to online.

The NOA comes first then the biometric appointment notice. You would need to wait for 30 days before you file the non-delivery notice.

Thank you for your support. I think Stan is smiling from above or in spirit near me. I am still trying to get used to the reality of being a naturalized citizen, it is not a dream anymore!! You will get your interview date when you are least expected. Hang in there. It will arrive eventually.

Yes, and I really tried my best, and it paid off. It sure was a roller coaster ride with my husband's passing, but I am glad it is over and I am sad Stan is not here witnessing all this, but I know he knows from above or in spirit. Good luck to you too and thanks for your support.

It was an emotional one for sure. I really went in to the ceremony thinking I might be rejected, my expectations were so low. When I got there, I filled out the 445 form and proceeded to a long table with at least 20 to 30 officers. She looked at my 445 form and she looked at my question 1 that i checked "YES" since my husband passed 3 days after I passed the interview, I thought they might reject me there, but surprisingly, they told me if i wanted the certificate to say married or widowed, so I was kind of confused, i thought it was up to them. The officer told me it is up to me, i guess probably it was because they did approve my request to expedite the oath without notifying me, but I chose widowed, but the certificate I got later says "married", but I don't really think it matters. I was there for about 3 hours. There were about 4000 new citizens there being sworn in, and I cried so much because I wish my husband were there celebrating with me. I had a bit difficulty finding my car after i got my certificate. I filled out the form to register to vote too. I will always apply for my passport this afternoon. I guess USCIS always has the absolute discretion to approve or deny, and I made a convincing argument trying to get them to approve me on the day of the interview, but i guess they approved our application posthumously. What a journey, I am so glad it is over. It has been a rough ride emotionally too. I am so proud of being an American citizen now. Oh, I also took a screenshot front and back of the 445 form signed by me and stamped by USCIS, my lawyer told me i did everything and there's nothing to worry about now and she congratulated me too.  I hope it will be your turn soon!! Thank you so much for your on going support. Let's hope it will be your turn soon.

Reading this makes me so happy and also sad at the same time. I'm sorry Stan couldn't be with you in person to share the joy with you, but I'm happy there's still some humanity in our government's machine, and that you were able to be sworn in.

Welcome to the club (I still look at my US passport from time to time and find it hard to believe that I'm a US citizen!).

Thank you, I still can't believe I am officially a citizen. The journal of it was such a long and rough emotional roller coaster ride. It is sad Stan is not here with me, but I know his spirit is, and he is smiling from above. I guess my attempt to request the district director to grand the expedited oath based on humanitarian ground and my husband's illness might have pushed them to the approval to natural

We received the transfer notice letter four days later.

I was planning on taking my wife with me to the interview in case they want to combine them and interview both of us but she has a field trip for her class that day and cannot go.

What are my chances of having both approved if she is not there?

@MHZ both the application for removal of conditions and for citizenship is based on marriage. The likelihood that you would get approved without her there would in my opinion be extremely Slim. I think, but I'm not sure, that you can change your appointment time. It would be better for you to do that then not have her there. if you can't change the appointment time, maybe she would be able to find somebody to fill in for her, including the principal of the school?

There is a possibility the officer can look at the 751 and not need to speak with your wife basically just approving it on the merit of documents presented however thats a very slim possibility. it would be best to have her present as in most cases they want to speak to both parties however maybe 1 or 2 percent have had theirs adjudicated because of alot of documents provided.

Well the letter requests only my presence. Mentions nothing about my spouse coming with me.

I am told that if I ask for a reschedule, then I will be put back in line and may be postponed for weeks or months.

Did anyone have this issue before? I am worried about this and not sure what to do.
