So weird, I also got a letter that my ROC has been transfered to NBC. My N-400 status is still in line for interview. Does anyone know what this is about?

Sounds like a system update for all 751/400 combo applicants, my 751 was approved and path ceremony scheduled, and I still got the same update and letter as yours. It means very little I think.

May I ask which website showed that status for you? Thank you.

Thanks!

so if you got that text message of your card being mailed right after the oath, I could still get the green card update as well.

Absolutely, and that's why I wanted you to know that despite the naturalization certificate being issued and all, my card still went into production AFTER the certificate was issued.

My oath is on the 23rd, you are right, your situation goes against what the tier 2 officers told me about the possibility of getting my green card regardless anyway. The outcome of my oath is uncertain due to the passing of my husband 3 days after the interview, but they approved me and scheduled my oath anyway, so I will do what I do, be honest, fill out my 445, and see what happens. I will take my 751 approval letter and my conditional green card with me to the oath if I don't have my green card by the oath.

That's what I did, I attached my conditional green card to the form, and that was it. Of course, I didn't have to deal with what you're personally dealing with. I still hope you will be successful; I'm rooting for you.

One question, I got two updates after my approval saying my case has been transferred to another office and another update says my case has been transferred to a new office. Did your 751 get these updates too before they told you they mailed your card? Congrats again.

No, I did not.

This is the entire history for the I-751:

May 11, 2018We mailed your card to you. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver it.
April 24, 2018We approved your case
April 23, 2018We are producing your card and will mail it to you
February 27, 2018We received your case
February 25, 2018We received your case
November 7, 2016We received your case

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

Thank you for being supportive. I really don't understand why I got the 2 updates after the 751 approval which make it a bit unsettling to me, from approval back to transfer? But my oath has been scheduled, that means might 751 had to be approved for them to approve the 400 despite my husband's passing. I talked to a few tier 2 officers who told me just to disregard the updates and wait for the card or attend the oath, but you got the card in production first, and the approval notice. I got the approval notice and the strange updates like most 751 pending applicants. I may get an update next week, hope I will get a new update next week before the ceremony for the peace of mind. Congrats again.

As you know, sometimes the updates go backward, or don't really make sense. I think this is one of those situations.

Correct, that's also what I think.

I would do just that: go to the oath ceremony, and surrender your conditional card (they will most likely ask you for that, I heard that countless times at the ceremony).

If your timeline after the approval is anything like mine, you should also get an update soon, so fingers crossed on that, perhaps even this week, or who knows, on the day of the actual ceremony. Either way I hope you get to be sworn in! Keep your chin up!

All the best, be it for a permanent green card long overdue, or a much deserved naturalization ceremony.

Thank you so much, I think I should not worry too much about the 2 updates as some who have done their interviews also got the identical updates. Will keep you posted, I will go to the ceremony and see what happens, I will take my 751 approval notice and my conditional green card, and my husband's death certificate, and see what happens. Thank you, so happy you are a citizen now.

Excellent, that sounds like a well thought out plan.

As I said, hopefully the green card arrives before the ceremony (which is the point we were trying to make from the beginning, that having a naturalization ceremony doesn't halt the issuing process of the green card as the USCIS call center person told you), if not, it will come, I'm confident of that. The updates as you know sometimes need to be taken with a grain of salt. You were approved for the I-751, and also for the N-400 (even with the awful news), so what remains to be seen is whether they will allow you to take the oath, and I'm rooting for you on that.

Keep us all posted, and once again thank you for your good wishes and congratulations!

You are welcome. I will keep you all posted for sure. I will be ready for the 23rd no matter what the outcome will be and be positive. Either naturalization or the 10 year green card status. Thanks a lot. Enjoy being a new citizen, you deserved it!

Does USCIS ever call? I got a call from 913-905-4132, no voicemail left. Looked up the number and one of the result was USCIS Kansas City FO. Called back but the number is not in service. Anyone else got the call?

Do you have an appointment with them or something like that?

Because I read they could call you if there is a change to a nearly appointment.

I-485 (AOS)

04/01/2015 Sent Form I-485.

05/06/2015 Scheduled the interview and mailed its notice.

06/16/2015 The Post Office picked up mail containing the new card.

06/16/2015 The 2 years Green Card was mailed to me.

06/18/2015 The 2 years Green Card in hand.

I-751 (ROC)

03/13/2017 Sent I-751 documents to CSC.

03/14/2017 Package received.

03/16/2017 Check cashed.

03/??/2017  NOA received.

03/14/2017 NOA dated.

03/27/2017 Biometrics. "walked-in"

02/26/2018 Case transferred to my local office.

05/01/2018 Case transferred to another office.

05/03/2018 Case transferred to another office.

05/07/2018 Received letter in mail, my case was transferred to NBC. "Letter's date is 05/01/2018"

06/05/2018 Received letter in mail, they will do an interview at the same time, date and location of my N-400 interview. "06/21/2018"

06/21/2018 The combo interview (with N-400 interview). But it's still pending until they send me the result of this interview.

06/27/2018 The case was approved, with the N-400 approval.

06/30/2018 Received the approval letter in mail.

N-400 (Under 3 Years Rule)

04/02/2018 Applied for N-400 Online. (I-751 is still pending)

04/02/2018 Received NOA Online (Received in mail on 4/03/18).

04/27/2018 Biometrics.

05/14/2018 Scheduled the N-400 interview.

06/21/2018 Interview's date.

Passed the English test and the U.S. history and government test.

But: A decision cannot be made yet about my application. The reason is my pending I-751 file!

06/27/2018 The case was approved (with the I-751 approval), and placed me in line for oath ceremony.

07/09/2018 Oath Ceremony was scheduled.

07/20/2018 Oath Ceremony.

U.S. Citizen and proud!

I figured out. I had requested a new online access code for N-400. They called to verify who requested.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I saw your timeline that you filed I751 in October 2016 and file N400 in November 2017. I was wondering if you got approved or interview for both of them? Looks like N400 delayed I751 approval? Thank you!
