Comments : My fiance stayed in Juarez to wait for his visa, which came 2 days after his interview. I hear the wait could range from 1-10 to receive the visa if you stay here.

While waiting for the visa, we were watching the CSC visa website throughout the day (every 1-2 hours). At one point, the status for the way bill turned from "not entered" to "in transit". When I clicked on the waybill number, it was a hyperlink for tracking the visa packet through DHL. On the DHL site it said the packet was ready for pick up- appr. 20 minutes after it was received from the consulate (DHL tracking information). However, the CSC visa site still said "in transent". it took 2 hours after my fiance picked up the packet to say "delivered"- it never did say "ready for pick up". My advice- check the waybill hyperlink for the most up to date information from the DHL website.

I had bought a "flexible fare" ticket early on to secure a price. With this feature, my airline does not charge to reschedule a flight if it is the same or lesser price, than the one originally purchased. This made it so I could change the flight date when he got his visa and he travel the next day.

Joint interview done with citizenship interview. Notice for Citizenship interview did not indicate with would be joint with ROC, nor did it state that spouse should attend. When husband had his name called for the interview, he went to the IO, she asked if there was anyone else with him, and he of course said it was me, his wife. She had me enter in with them at that time.

Husband did not get officially approved for ROC during the interview. The IO stated she would approve him, but had not accessed that part of his files yet, that it would take her "1 hour to 2 weeks" to do so. On 2018-11-08 we got "notice" that his I-171 was transferred, but also that his "new card is being produced". On 2018-11-09 he received another notification that his case was approved.

We were told during the interview that he may not receive his new Green Card before Oath Ceremony.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
